I want to buy brand new Faw V2, everybody opposes but I liked the car very much

1) FAW is new company and V2 is a new car. only after 3,4 years of ownership one can tell the pros cons

2) buying a car is a very personal /deep experience , and the satisfaction / pain later on if you end up with a good /bad car is also deep, i have 4 cars in my garage, a suzuki, a vitz, a premio,and mira . and i can tell that a good brand is surely better than a cheaper one.

dear wagon R is no match for V2. i had the same situation 6 months back but then i bought V2 . i have driven it regularly on motorway and on mountainous terrain. its good looking, fully loaded with power steering, power windows, air bags, alloy rims, spacious then swift and vitz, 1300 cc, ABS with EBD, immobilizer key. my car got slightly hit from behind on motorway and i thought bumper would have been hanging down. i immediately inspected the car and couldn't even find out the point of impact. i have driven cultus before i exactly know the quality of suzuki vehicles. so in my opinion go for V2 . it is the best car in this category.

Have one at home providing reasonable service, trust the opinion of people who are using the product instead of the one's who were too scared to try it.

V2 is Worth Buying Car if you need to drive your car on Highway and motorway, its great there in terms of Safety Features ABS Brakes and Airbags, Durability of Major parts is much better than suzuki, Price is very good, Fuel Economy is good on long route, Driving comfort much better than Wagon R
After Sales improving Day by Day and After Launch of Locally assembled V2 Dynamics of this Company and the Car itself has Changed a lot.
Minor Issues in Suspension and plastics but that can be rectified by just tightening or greasing or cushioning. Nothing to worry apart from that.... gaari Robust hai, mujhay Alhamdullillah 10 months ho gay hain... Very Comfortable car.
But again, if you are planning to use Car only in City area then you don't need Safety or Power. In that case Wagon R is better bcz of its fuel Economy and smaller horizontal Room.

Considering me i would buy faw v2 instead of wagon r considering the more features powerful feature and especially safety feature but they also come at some cost i have experience of my friend car that is only 7000km driven and is full of hundred of issue the build quality is just really like Chinese pathetic and his one is also imported i will highlight some issue he has gone through just 6 month time period
1. back suspension issue
2. steering column
3. wind noise
3. pre installed rubber are just for time pass they are really low quality plus poor fitting
4.first gear is very very hard
5. diggi is vibrating like a nightmare
6.compressor changed.
7.Lasty the most biggest and concerning its only 6 month old with just 7000km on odo meter but there are a bunch of khar khar and rattlings from everywhere that one cant even imagine in suzuki that was really bad to see in such a feature full car.
Hope they take care of strong and lasting fittings other wise this khar khar and big issue will have very bad impact on overall car and its image.

Yes totally agreed but strongly disagree with durability part i have experienced one faw v2 imported from 0-7000km driven within 6 month and durability ki koe nam ki chez nahin it is full of issues and the list is very very long. and how can a suspension issue be a minor and is present in almost all cars considering its a very important part and are arising when car is all driven in Gujranwala cantt only. secondly when he bought it i was the only one praising it out of no where people were saying it is Chinese no resale and blah blah but all features and drive in this price make me love it but seeing it after 7000km driven i was really depressed to see the issues he encountered and especially that many khar khar and rattlings.

Well I have driven my v2 for some 40k kms till now and yet to face any single issue u mentioned, just wind noise nothing else, minor khar khar was there mainly from trunk, so put sone padding there n its gone, if ur friend's car had compressor and other suspension issues then it does not mean every v2 has these problems, exceptions can b there in any brand.
Yes it has some common issues like wind noise, some weird sounds from trunk etc but can b rectified by identifying the prolematic part,
Ideally any brand new car should not has these issues, but quality control problems are there in every pkdm brand, same is case with faw,
But in this competitive pricing and given features it is still a good buy..
no problem of durability as I have also driven a 90k driven v2 and there was no such difference in comparison to mine which was driven 30k till that time.

are you sure about the khar khar, rattlings and suspension part of both v2 you encountered as this is common in all v2 however about compressor they changed in under warranty but about khar khar they said you mnust have driven in bad places and when i said them to figure it out they were totally blank .how did you solved that trunk all khar khar where did you placed the soft padding's and what kind of as that irritates the driver alot otherwise as i said in this price bracket i will opt undoubtedly v2 just because of safety features that in brand new car at this price

In my case trunk lock was producing metal sound on every khadda, so asked dealership guys to fix it, u need to determine the exact part which is producing sound, indeed these are disturbing for driver.. i placed foam under the trunk tray by using tape, got proper bag for toolkit, sounds are almost negligible now,

I drive more than 37000 km. I never face steering column, Back suspension issue or gear is very hard and etc... To be honest i love Faw v2 more than Honda city. That's my personal feeling. I never face any major problem. I just, Change Engine oil, Brake service and its give you super drive. I am planning to buy new car.I want to sell it. But i don't want to sell because its beauty. Amazing car with low budget.

yes it amazing car with low budget that why my friend just bought it on my recommendation but all thing are sorted out after many visits to dealership except the most annoying khar khar and rattling now thinking to change Tyre with very soft one.

Thing is that what are your main concerns and priorities at this moment depending about them i can suggest you more wisely. I would go for v2 again again as it is value for money considering my main concerns the power and safety feature it which v2 is great especially in this value the safety features are really a class in this league.About the problems they are not very major but there are a lot which one should expect from Chinese brand and some are solved really quickly but the Islamabad dealership people are very unprofessional and duffers. wagonr is really a great car with not all of these kind of issue especially the most irritating rattlings and khar khars showing poor build quality in v2.A good resale with just outclass average but there are many negatives of it also like small engine the shape is just pathetic with kiddo tyres and no Safety feature. However after considering all the pro and cons for both v2 have a edge over wagon r but if you would be asking from v2 and swift i would have 110% defiantly recommended you swift except airbags this car is far superior to v2 and other JDMs also.

Before purchasing Faw V2 earlier this month, I have studies a lot of forums, watched youtube videos and read reviews on this car. Some said it is good, some said it is bad. But finally when I calculated its negative and positive points, the positive points are more so I got it.
Now its almost ten days, and I think I have taken the right decision. The car is very spacious, its ride is very smooth and many minor issues, which were pointed out in forums like noise and rubbers on door were addressed by the company so its almost giving a noiseless ride.
Go for it man.. it is value for money.
