Your overall weight consists of fat weight and muscle weight. If you are overweight, it means you have to burn your fat weight that we call "charbee". Now, doing proper exercise is very important as you don't want to burn your muscle weight as it won't be healthy. So keep a combination of exercises and change them regularly. For example, Cardio is very useful to burn fat. Do Cardio regularly to sweat as much as you can and burn calories. There are different machines for cardio which you can swap after a couple of days so that you don't get bored by just doing one thing. Now, just Cardio won't be enough. You've to do exercises for the tummy, lower and upper. Be it crunches or any other exercise. TRX exercises are the best to reduce weight. You burn quickly without losing muscle.
Along with all these exercises, you have to do body building as well so that you can build muscle else you'll lose weight and your body will not be tight. Heavy weight lifting is not advised when you have to lose weight as it'll built muscle mass. Toning is required which means you need lesser weights and more reps.
The most important thing is the diet. Remember the ratio of 29 to 71. 29% is what you do at gym and 71% is your lifestyle. Eat 5 times a day with small intervals and small quantities. Don't stuff yourself. Stop taking rice and wheat. Don't take oily stuff. Take white meat that too before 4-5 pm. No meat or heavy meal afterwards. Just fruits and salads.
