from gilgit you can visit Hunza ( Baltit fort , Altit fort , Eagle next, Royal garden,), Naltar, China boarder (Khunjarab pass), Rakaposhi view point , Fairies Meadows,
After ward you can go to Skurdu by road local transport is available from there you can visit Shingrilla lake, uper kachura lake, Khaplu fort

This is my expert advice to all who visit Gilgit that when ever you visit Gilgit never stay at Gilgit city always make your base camp near to Rakaposhi view point from where you can move to all attractive places
