This is my very first post on this platform. Actually I bought my very first car 2 years back, At that time I didn’t know how to drive so I asked a mechanic to find me a good car in the range of 5-7 lac.
As I wasn’t aware of anything, he took that advantage and bought me an alto 1000cc in around 6 lac (330k driven).
In few weeks, when I got familiar with the car, I came to know that the rims are cracked and tires are in extreme bad conditions. So I replaced all the rims and tires. Later replaced the battery, spent 30-40k over suspension, denting and stuff.
On top of that, the average of the car is around 8 km/l and can go maximum to 9-9.5 km/l on long without ac and yes AC is also not working and require another 10k.
Now, after 2 years I’m quite decent at driving and I thought of upgrading, but due to some emergency I spent the major amount. Now I can invest around 2-3 lac and these are the things I wanted. Please give some suggestion in as much detail as you can as I still don’t have much of a car knowledge.
- Thinking of replacing an engine to 660cc to get an average around 14-16km/l
- The car sides are cracked a little so I need to repair the body too, what can we do in this case.
- Need some electrician work
- AC needs to be fixed.
- Seats are fixed, we can’t move the seats forward and backward.
- Powered steering and powered windows (optional)
These are the things I want in my car in the mentioned budget, is it possible and what’s your suggestion on doing these things.
Suggest a good mechanic too.
