Salam everyone,
This is about Civic 2017 oriel 30000 odo!
Last night out of blue I started washing my car’s Engine bay with Maguire Engine Cleaner. I had no clue what trouble I am gonna face next. I covered the sensors and other electrical parts and throughout cleaned it with normal pressure water.
I started the car and drove it to see if it’s ok as I never ever wash car engines and the car started giving jerks in 20-30 kmh speed while changing gears from 1st to 2nd.
I tried different speeds and breaking if it gets back to normal but that didn’t help,
It stared giving jerks more often.
My mechanic told me there must be some water in the spark plug wires or anywhere else he will fix it.
Next day in workshop they tried almost every thing from cleaning and changing spark plugs to sensors to cleaning the ECU,
Well the problem was that the stupid RUBBER on gear box was not at its place and was found lose open on gear box flat surface and I accidentally washed it and water went into the gear box from that hole which should be closed, I checked and re checked that that small rubber from where you pour the gear oil was damn lose and any jerk could make it pop out.
Still after changing gear oil car was giving jerks and Nawab along with all other mechanics were unable to fix the issue after 12 hours of trying to find the error codes.
The problem was cvt and they reset the transmission and some how it got better and they asked to drive very slow for the first 150kmh and no hard accelerations. I still don’t know how it got fixed and how it got into this trouble, water in gear box caused it, my question from Honda is HOW THE HELL DID THE WATER GET INTO THE SO CALLED SEALED TRANSMISSION? I just wanna tell you guys DO NOT WASH your engine bay. First open all the intake hose and boxes and see underneath if that loosen NUT shaped rubber is at its place or not, I spent a lot to find the error and fix it just by washing it. It was perfect before.
