I had my bike washed, it started doing missing so i went to a mechanic.He told me that the problem is with the ignition switch as it has become short due to water. When he disconnected the switch (made it direct) and told me to go for a try the bike was doing fine, so obviously the problem is with the switch.Now i am a bit concerned that should i now go for only the switch and use the key which will come along with it for starting and use the old key for handle lock and tapas or should i replace the whole system and have one key.Advise is needed.(A)

get new key only for ignition switch. how many times a person open side covers (tappas) ??? place ur both keys in 1 key ring. save your bucks buddy don't waste them.
i have same prob. connect switch after a day, i have just come frm mechanic and now bike is okeynext time when u go for service then warp meter with plastic bag (y)
I think problem is with the switch.
Happend to me also, i just opened ignition switch and changed the inner cuircuit plate with after market one, buddy dont waste money, buy aftermarket switch and replace the plate, no need to change Keys.........

Buy a new switch then go to a locksmith. Give him your key and ask him to adjust the new lock for that key. He will charge you around rs.50 for that and then you can use your existing key for your new ignition lock
