I think nn's pic at Post #118, and Asad's comment at #125 about sum it up for me.
Even though I wasn't a part of the Peace Rally, I was incredibly heartened to see the efforts made by IJC to visit this far-flung place.
Gentlemen, it's men like YOU, who send out a message to the world in general, and to Pakistanis in particular: "yes, Pakistan is a dangerous place to live. But it's also incredibly, breathtakingly beautiful. Yes, we have people amongst us, who are incredibly @#$%ed up. But the silent (and not so silent) majority, is people like us; who appreciate incredibly simple things. Like the beauty of nature, tourism, adventure, and a hot ride under the seat of our pants. We enjoy having fun. We thrive on the spirit of hospitality, and generosity, and camaraderie, and friendship. And we are never lax in reaching out to our brethren in areas like this, whenever it's struck by calamity / disaster. We enjoy caring. And sharing. And believe in goodness and kindness. We will persevere, God willing. And overcome what befalls us. That spirit, is what will keep Pakistan alive and well and vibrant, forever...despite the odds we face. That spirit, is what makes us Pakistan"
Hats off to The Men Of Steel (IJC)!
