The Magestic Rakaposhi......
Rakaposhi means "Snow Covered" in the local language. Rakaposhi is also known as Dumani ("Mother of Mist"). It is ranked 27th highest in the world (25, 551 feet) and 12th highest in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Pakistan</st1:place></st1:country-region>, but it is more popular for its beauty than its rank might suggest.

An amazing 360 degree panorame by Aimen RG (not sure if I am re-posting here but does not really matter as this deserves it):

Dawn at Day IV saw most of us snoozing at Gilgit while an advance party led by Jeepaholic and nn was speeding towards Hunza. The Gilgit party headed out towards Hunza and where DesertDevil and myself visited an IDP camp at Karimabad and then briefly visited the Attabad disaster site. The advance party spent the day at the Hoper Glacier before a meet-up at the Eagle's Nest atop Karimabad. From here nn and myself headed back to Gilgit while the rest of the troupe spent the night at Hunza.

....we headed out to the workshops to fix the gremlins we had worked onto our vehicles. As per Juma Khan's now legendary remark before his early parting at Gilgit: "80% of the time was spent on the road and the rest at the workshops"

The CJ7's gremlin was a broken shock mount on the plate for which we found a kabar/second hand replacement from around the corner. Now the reason for the broken pin was primarily Mr. Kashif Qayyum aka FIHSAK. The great man supplied a set of Rancho 9000s for the CJ just a couple of days short of the trip. The Rancho 9000s though notoriously soft (even on hardest settings) were an amazing upgrade from my previous Gabriel gas shocks and encouraged us to do some crazy antics all the way until the desi connecting components would give way under the added stress. Trip count was 4 shock bushes and one kamani plate below:

At the workshop we came across a Jeep K1 in the making on which the orginal Spicer transfer case was mated onto a TLC transmission powered by a B Series engine.
