In my case I have only 50 points but my agent said to opt for 7 each in IELTS and there will be no issue in the process as Software Engineering is highly in demand now a days... is it correct or he is cheating on me.
He also said that on 4th July AUS immigration department removes restriction of 7 each on some designated areas for short time and overall 7 score can benefit there... but after I submitted his fee for EOI, he told that this time they did not lifted the restriction of 7 each..
I consider to ask him for a refund in case his intention was of cheating... what you say?

The imformation provided by your agent wasnt true. You need 7 in each module to claim 10 points for IELTS and if your points are equal or exceeding 60 without ielts, than a minimum 6 in each is also acceptable.

He's right about Software Engineering occupation in demand but the thing is more and more people are applying for OZ immigration every year from all around the world, especially India. So, more the points, the better it is and the faster you get the invitation to apply as invitations are sent out to the ones having maximum points for pro rata occupations. As I said in my previous post, backlog of 60 poonters is huge at the moment. People with 60 points are waiting from December 2015 for the invitation and I am telling this for Software Engineers. The situation is much worse for Business Analysts and Accountants.

I can't understand why you need immigration consultants if you are MA very educated people here. Why pay hundreds of thousands of Rupees if not millions on something that you can do it all by yourself with just a little bit of an effort assuming that you are educated people.

Quite frankly I never needed a consultant for whether it was admission to a university in US or Canadian immigration we (I and my friends) applied at Canadian Embassy in New York, or when renewal of the same process within Pakistan. Currently I'm contemplating whether to to apply for Canadian Immigration again as I received my provincial nomination (again without any help from any consultant and so far paying Zero money) in June and will expire by end of Nov. My 2 cents about immigration consultants.

Have you attempted for IELTS or yet have to appear.. I have same requirements and appeared once for IELTS but my speaking score was 6.5 so planning to appear again. I would say you should try new zealand also as they require overall 7 score. I am also considering applying for new zealand.

I have not yet appeared for IELTS. Will be appearing soon and I am confident of getting 7 in all bands.

Consulted with two agencies (AINit & Superior Consultancy) and both of them told me that your profession (Service Quality) is not high in demand in New Zealand. In fact Mr. Adil from Superior Consultancy said that I am also ineligible for Australia due to my profession being not high in demand. But AINit advised me to go for Australia and opt for state nomination for my profession.

Australia currently has a lot more to offer as compared to Canada. Yes, the amount you are going to spend on Canadian immigration is much less than that of OZ. Its going to be around 1 million all inclusive for a family of four (Husband, wife and 2 kids). The cost will cover the immigration consultant's charges as well. But I strongly recommend not to use a consultant or an agent if you have a straight forward case. I still regret hiring an agent and wasting a lot of money in lieu of agent's fee when all he has to do is uploading documents on the immi website. In my case, the agent was so dumb that he filled the visa application form incorrectly too and I have to get it corrected after reviewing. And this agent whom I am talking about is MARA registered and quite a known one in lahore. OZ immigration is a very simple process and everything is listed on the DIBP website starting from your qualification and work experience assessment to launching an EOI and application of visa.How many points you expect to score with 7 each in IELTS? If its less than 65, than u need to hunt for 8 each instead of 7. Because with 60 points, the chances of getting an invitation is very bleak as the backlog of the 60 pointers is huge at the moment.If you need any help related to OZ immigration, let me know.

AINit consultancy representative was confident that my case will be processed within 6 to 8 months and I'll be in Australia with my family.

Moreover, he also said that Ill be getting 1800 AUD monthly for my two kids as soon as I ll land in Australia. Education, Health facilities and accommodation will be free and if ill remain unemployed, I can also get unemployment allowance. (God knows the ground realities better)

Confusion starts here for Australia.

But both of them said I am eligible for Canada and have bright chances to be selected for pool. Once i get into the pool, i then need to hunt for a job or provincial nomination as everyone does the same for Canadian Immigration.

As far as the child allowance, its somewhere around 1300 AUD for 2 kids and u dont start getting it right away. There's a waiting period for that for approx. 4-6 months. You have to register with centerlink once you are in OZ and wait a couple of months for it to be processed.

If you are eligible from the eligibility test, it also tells you that you can fill out your profile etc...Well just do that and see what happens.

I've also looked into the NOCs, you qualify as a senior manager. Although they don't have the exact job title in there. But you are definitely above middle management. So just fill out the profile and see what it tells you.

Well what ever you do, just do it through official Canadian government website. Don't bother with these scam artist "agents".

Remember this : Every "agent" and "immigration consultant" will tell you that you are eligible, how else is he going to make any money. Are you willing to pay someone money just so he could tell you that you are NOT eligible for immigration ? I hope you get it.

As per six factors test, I am having 76 points. Education, Age, Experience, IELTS with 7, my wife Education, IELTS and my auncle and aunt who are citizens of Canada. I have decided not to have assistant of any agency. Ill get my qualifications assessed, take IELTS by the end of November and apply myself.

Once into the pool, I'll try to find job and would leave no stone unturned in doing that.

Both Aus AND Canada: Be prepared if your education and experience does not count especially for engineers and in medical profession.
business services and IT is a bit more hopeful.

Most probably you will be doing in odd job at a store, fast food place or security guard or taxi driver etc etc in the beginning while you get settled.
Might have to take the education route too.

Canadian Econ. for the last 8 years has been lagging and no sign of robust recovery. In big cities, rents are bit high.

No idea about Australia but regarding express entry, I am not trying to dishearten you but getting job in Canada by sitting in Pakistan that gives you 600 points is not that easy....you require LMIA (labor market impact assessment), If some one gives you job he has to go through all paper work and show that they cant get Canadian citizen/PR qualified enough and process takes months at times.....If you are someone from IT or programming you got good chance but banking sector is something liked by students here so its quite competitive to get in and especially for higher hierarchy jobs.

I dont think you will be coming near 450 points out of 600 in express entry excluding job offer/Provincial nominee as you are married but clb 9 (L 8 S 7 W 7 R 7) should take you pretty close to draw....on other hand some provinces like Saskatchewan or other less populated province may give you provincial nominee that gets you 600 points...

I am not sure but i guess you need to spend several hundred bucks for getting your degrees assessed and i am not sure you might need your wife degrees attested as well if you are claiming any post secondary credential points for her.

New zealand has requirement of overall 7 bands for immigration and also family is included in same fee while oZ has separate fee for family. New Zealanders are allowed to live and work in OZ without any need of visa.
Can someone guide me how I can apply for New Zealand immigration step by step. I don't want to hire an agent for this.
