I made this thread to know the process, which by your replies seems to be nearly impossible now, as for UAE yes you dont get any status compared to western countries and yes living in GORA contries is much better. Now coming to why I said Uae is better, becuase its processing is way quicker, the pay is good and at the end of the day you dont have to worry about eating HARAAM food or searching for a mosque.

as for getting a job in UAE what experience do you have, many of my class fellows have come here and gotten pretty decent jobs with refrence to their Pakistani experience and they are very happy.

+1. But how come the Horse Meat Got into Walmart's Beef Pies...ASDA in UK.
Thanks God I do not eat beef and even mutton. Here in Pakistan it's mostly Khota/Kuta or in the best case scenario 'Kata' served as mutton lol...

I never buy from walmart as far as as food/ meat is concerned... well the horse meat is eaten in some european countries so it might be available in local outlets of walmart. I think the horse meat got mixed with regular meat. There was ban on horse meat here in US .. not sure if its lifted. As there are pople who want to consume horse meat or for that matter dog meat as well.

But as far as I am concerned I go to local muslim slaughter house. select an animal .. chicken or sheep and then its slaughtered by a muslim in real zabiha way.

I am in final year mechanical at nust. I want to proceed for masters but am concerned for life after masters. Until now, i have had mixed opinions on whether one should proceed for masters or not.

I am from NUST as well. It all depends .. Initial year or two I will recommend you must touch field experience.. And then masters.. You can always do masters even being working.. If you jump to master as soon as you are done with graduation .. You will remain from practical experience for a long time. In the end the on hand experience matters.. I left NUST in 2000 with BE in civil.. Always here to help..

Glad to see another nustian on PW I was thinking the same that I should work for atleast a year before studying further. But the fields I am interested in(automotive,power), they dont have much scope here in Pakistan. What would you say about that?

Sir I m in civil.. But basic things should be same .. Just join any reputable industry and work there. You can always go to the field of your choice. Its not important from start you should go direct to what you want to.. My cousin in UET final is in final semester too and have same choice as yours.. he spent last summer vacation at gas field. Oil exploration should also be something you should look into. I have few friends from nust civil going for MS in oil and gas..

Bro I am an electrical Engineer and MBA HR, plus i have got 6 years plus experience in consultant in building construction, nowadays working with consultant as Senior Electrical Engineer on the construction of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer hospital in Peshawar.

well you should keep trying, your credentials are enough to get you a good job here, the construction industry isn't doing all that well but you can try as mainteance engineer.if you are willing to go to saudia there are many opertunities there in all fields.

well in case of mosques I dont drive I walk here as far is food is concerned you can go to any resturant or fast food place without even thinking about haram halal, my question can you go to burger king or pizza hut in NYC and not think about haram halal??

and in Pakistan you have to be very careful while choosing your butcher that is not the case here the muncipality is very strict and maintains very good halal standards (H)

coming to the second part you are as much american as any redneck or newyorker is concerened but the status of Pakistani's in UAE is not the same, yahan pe paisa kamao aur bhagoo you dont get any status here

Skillselect is a part of Australian immigration, and you will have to apply for 189 visa, 190 or 489 but the ielts requirements is compulsory to meet their minimum requirement of 60 points. You can apply without ielts but to claim the qualification and experience points you will need to go to Engineers Australia and they need ielts

I will be glad to have job in Saudia but how what will be the process and i Have came to know that even in Saudia one needs to have reference in company to get job.
