My friend in Karachi has a Liana and recently during a mugging the muggers took away his car keys. He had the car towed back home but now is having problems getting an immobilizer key made (he had only 1 original key with him). So far 2 technicians have visited the car at his home and attempted to make duplicate keys but failed. Suzuki is asking about Rs 17,000 for one key. Anyone has any suggestions or recommendations for key makers in Karachi? Thanks:)
you need the suzuki supplied key, dont let your freind have the "lektrishans" do some gypsy magic on the wiring then cover with nitto tape.
Buy a new key from Suzuki.
this can be done by flashing the eeprom (chip in the ecm). it should be black coloured 8pin memory chip and IC900 (93c56) is the no. there are two ways to do this eeprom work either by removing the chip and reading and flashing it through pc serial port using standard software (ponyprog etc.) for that you need a very basic and cheap electronic circuit to connect IC pins to the serial port. if anyone interested I can share circuit diagram. second method is to get a brand new eeprom (blank) and replace with the old one. in both cases you get a blank chip installed in the ecm. now any rfid key (mechanicaly same) used for the first time will be registered in the eeprom. it might seem very difficult but to be honest any electronic technician can do the job who know the ICs and eeproms as he just need to flash this and solder again.
