Hi guys. My 2010corolla has an aftermarket immobilizer installed in it which stopped working. I have a small chip type thing on my keychain that I touch on the receiver end before starting the car which is placed under the carpet of the car. When it's touched at the right place I hear 2beeps from the passenger side of the front and this means it's off and I can start the car.
Yesterday, it stopped working. I touch the chip on the receiver but there no beep sound and the car doesn't start.
I had to leave the car at the market, good thing is close to my house. Does anyone know how this issue can be solved?
Also, if I want to remove the immobilizer, should I cut the cable that's attached ag the receiver end or should I have an electrician do it?
I have disconnected the battery terminals for 30sec and connected again but that still didnt solve it.
Plase help.
