Impact of Hail Storm on paint Help Please

Go to motor expert in I-9. He has done this work on more than 50 cars and he will be cheaper than Honda or vebra. A friend of mine got an estimate of 21000 for his city (bought in April) the work included hood, roof and trunk complete denting and repainting. and they did a very clean job with his car. no one can tell the difference, rather there is no difference.

@uzi, grow up, my bosses merc got the same dents after the hail storm. Also saw a nissan cefiro with same dents.

My mehran was also in the same hailstorm. so was my i-dsi city, the mehran is full of these dents from roofs, fenders, bonnet evry f** place!the city survived withhout a dent.Its not abt the metal quality huys, so stop arguing, the hailstorm was pretty aggressive and it is abt how much of it hits ur car, what place u are at.
Something entirely dependent on nature....

My corolla was in the porch, alarm screaming like hell, but it survived too...

i am also victim of the hail storm... it also ruined the bonnet and roof of my civic 2000 which is supposedly the strongest civic of all, at least body wise....

I have read the whole thing. Same incident has happened with my Vario which has small hailstorm dents all over the front bonnet, the roof and on the trunk. It happend on September 22, 2008 in Lahore. I am as pissed off as you are.

Did u find any solution or what is ur final decision. Did the direct sun helped some of the dents to come out.

I have the experince of dealing with Javed Painter they are talking about in Lahore. I will meet him in a day or two and will update you on what he has suggested.

Yar i finally decided to use my car as it is, dont wana rune my new drive by painting. I know there are some very good denterz but i my self is not satisfied. If you find any solution without paint jon please do let me know. I will not suggest paint job for you as well.

Yes i agree, getting the whole thing painted is insane. In my opinion using a bit of heat (like a hair dryer or even a heater) on the inside of the bonnet will do the job. I will visit Javed and will let know about the progress. But contrary to you, i will get dry denting done for just maybe one of the dent and see what is the result.

My cultus also got dents. I was not driving and it was on highway near chiniot so can't save it. Hail was so strong that wind screen was also got cracked a little. Will i be able to claim insurance as its insured.

I know its an old thread but since i got the same :'(. I rained and hailed yesterday and my car was outside office without shade. After the rain i saw that nothing happened, car was covered with dirt so maybe i could not find any issues and it was evening time. Today i checked in the morning and found at least 6 bumps on my trunk, and even more on the roof. Was any one able to fix these issues without repainting, what about that hear / hair dryer thing that was mentioned here.
Its a black colored car so i fear when i wash and wax it, they are going to be more prominent

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I had the same problem after the recent hailstorm. I had a Medium silver 2011 Corolla GLi that was badly hit by hail on the rear half. I was so turned off by the damage I decided to sell my car. I got lucky and found a buyer at an excellent price. Since then I have decided to get a new Civic, but I feel terrorized by the thought of being surprised by another hail storm. Anyway, I looked around and apparently there are padded car covers available at Alibaba, ebay etc. that are specifically design to withstand and protect from hail. Here is one that I found. They are a bit pricey but may be worth the investment.

Holy ****! Just bought a Corolla aur aik new tension dal di ap logon ne. By the way, how strong a hailstorm are we talking about here that can make these dents?
