Importing a 2014 accord. Please help in figuring out how much duty i would pay

Hi guys. I bought a 2014 Honda accord here in Dubai for 32 lacs rupees. It 3500cc V6. I want to know if I import the car in dec 2014 or jan 2015, to Pakistan, aprox how much duty would they charge me on this?

204.5% duty.

so, 64 lacs+ taxes is the duty. The car itself is 32 lacs, so total would be over 1 crore. If you're spending that much, why not just buy a new e200 from pakistan or increase budget slightly to buy a AX-G landcruiser...

wow 204%? that is too damn much, and its not worth bringing in the accord. How much would a new e200 cost as you suggested? Landcruiser will be out of my budget as I hear its over 125lac and I really don't want to get a 2009 high mileage one.

Bhai, you get 1% concession on custom as well. It depends k. How many months old the car is. So if you were to import a 2011 accord, max discount on custom duty would be 35/36%.

the left hand drive Honda Accord will be a real test of driving in PK., check from Atlas Honda in PK what is price they are quoting for a 2014 Accord 4 cylinder 2400 cc with a 3 year or 100,000 KM warranty. Importing a car - the value for customs valuation is OEM price of the year not the price buyer has paid.

the government has come up with this figure...I don't know why its 204.5%, I mean they could just have 200% or 210%, but two hundred and four POINT FIVE !!!! they have it so precise unlike everything else in pakistan...

cars above 1800cc have the 204.5% duty, can be reduced if car is older, 1% per month upto 3yrs ( 36 months ). this percentage is of car's OEM value as capsat has mentioned, but I guess he missed that you bought a brand new accord so 32 lacs must be the OEM price.

e200 is 1800cc. On 1800cc cars, duty is ~$24,000 something. I think shahnawaz sells e200 for somewhere around 90 lacs or so... e250 is also 1800cc so it comes at a little over 1 crore or so...
the same 1% per month rule applies on 1800cc and below cars as well, so you will find used 3yrs old uk spec e200s for ~70+ lacs...

you could also find a prado for 80+ lacs...

and for ~40lacs you get a c180/200....for a little more you get my favourite car Audi A4.

Some time ago I checked prices, A4 was in the 50s for base model. So your okay if you got 60 lacs. Its an awesome car.

Its better you import a 2000cc hybrid accord 2013 model from japan it will cost arround 6million. Its an excellent car with economy and power.
