Importing a Hybrid-like BMW i3 647cc

I am trying to decide whether or not it is possible to import a BMW i3 Range Extender model free of import duty and sales tax. It is an electric car with a 647cc engine/generator that has a small 7L tank.

According to the customs regulations, hybrid cars below 800cc can be imported free of customs duty and sales tax.

Is there a way to find out if this will be classed as a Hybrid?

Wikipedia definition of a Hybrid Vehicle is "A hybrid vehicle uses two or more distinct types of power, such as internal combustion engine+electric motor"

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If this is correct that hybrid vehicles below 800cc is duty free, then i think that you can import bmw i3 (range extender) without custom duty but registration and other costs will be applicable..
