i will highly appreciate if u would also tell that how can we import ourselves directly from japan...any trusted japanese auction houses/websites?

Yes you can import cars from Japan urself and the most reliable auction house is USS, but there are some points you should consider.

1-In order to ship your car you need a container and a container usually contains 4 sedan size vehicles or 5 small like alto, vitz, passo etc. with whom you will share a container if you are not buying enough number to fill the container up.

2- Do you have any1 in Japan who can make payment on your behalf.

3- You should have some1 in mind who will help you in clearing process which includes the selection of Consignee. ppl usually buy the pasports which is not the safe way you should atleast know the consignee.

a short note... import is a tricky business with many grey area's in it... is mei "DUZ" bhi lag jati hai .

it is always better to import thru professional importing / indenting house. Try to find legitimate car importer and get quote from him before jumping in yourself. There are sole agents of Japanese firms in Karachi maintaining full time offices in Japan. do business with Parsi owned business...

if you want to import as a business, first visit Karachi ports, Tariq road, Jail road lahore and talk to people bringing in cars...

selecting car and making payment is 15% of the task....anyone could do it.

Very true by mentioning my points I mean the same ..... !

But if some1 can handel these three issues only then he/she should plan to import a car usually self import is not very usefull for importing 1 or 2 cars one should only enter this venture with a serious intentions of business otherwise I will also recommend that if you want a car for personal use you should and you can find reliable importers in Pakistan.
