Just when I got my leaves approved and was all set to leave for dubai to give my brain some rest, my brother told me that my passport expired on 17th June 2012. I went to passport office to apply for new passport and it will take at least 15 days to arrive

Now, what should I do? should I cancel my leaves and take them some other time or take leaves and rest at home? not resigning at the moment. But I need some rest.

How unprofessional as you had no idea your passport was about to expire, now you should cancel your leaves asap and save them for your near future needs, no rest suggested. And what was your passport doing with your brother, you should have that in your custody, and last but not the least "OWN YOURSELF BEFORE OTHERS OWN YOU"

What that has to do with professionalism? :S I have my passport, my brother has scanned copy so when he checked it to apply for visa it was expired.
