I would say take risk.
My cousin was underpaid too where he was employed; besides having 5 years of extensive experience in Finance, too much demotivated by his evil boss, didn't get increment from last two years etc etc.
So he took one month leave from office, went to dubai for search a job and luckily found one.

working at a place that has no value for human resource is the biggest blunder you can do in your life.

Not getting paid, overworked - long hours - GET OUT, it wont look bad on your resume because the market obviously would know these morons are not paying salaries.

How would companies in UAE would know that a small company in Karachi was not paying? I am up for some planning in this regard since I want to leave my job before Ramzan.

Whenever I have made some decision, I have always refused influence from people around me but there are times when you want to make sure that you're not taking a wrong decision for that you take advises and in the end its upto you what you decide. I never hurry about anything and people's opinion do matter for me. Talking about resigning I surely want to leave this job but I have to see all aspects before resigning. I have had made decisions against the will of closed ones and they were all right since I was all sure and fully responsible in making them. Time proved, I was right.

There is no harm in asking for suggestions since no one is perfect and may be I am missing out some point that someone else may point out. Again, talking about my decision, I think I am wasting all my time sitting here unless I make use of this time before I switch.

If u want a job in Dubai u have to go Dubai. Nobody will give you job if u apply from here. So if u have brother in Dubai you must go there and apply now dnt ask from other. make a plan and then act ! You will get Job IA !

Well, I am all fine and in my senses. Not in a hurry to make my decision, I am holding up. But yes I have to plan something, either I have to burn my boat or wait for another one to find me.

I was also in same situation & was totally fed-up of Telecom industry. Then analysed the whole situation & came to the conclusion that the only thing that can satisfy me is R&D & that too in Pure Physics.... Telecom Market is just BS... Nothing there except useless internet browsing, meaningless superficial appreciations, false hopes, management changes, recession, lay offs, money, money, money & nothingggggg at all. Now when I look back, I find I have wasted 5 precious years of my life in an uninteresting job. What is the big deal if configured a few router or switches?

So my advice to you is to search for an ambition in your life. Money is just nothing. Think bigger, set a few objectives & believe me there is nothing more pleasing than the feeling of success, achievement & accomplishment. Man is not born to earn living only... There are much bigger causes for us being on earth.

I am fed up of my job now, I want to switch to some other company. Telecom is so boring and I have nothing to do in the office, just sit and use internet that's it. I want to work and learn something in hand. I want to get a job in Data Networks or Structured Cabling. I am learning about Structured Cabling since I have an interview and a chance to leave Pakistan for good. Pray for me guys that I get a job in Dubai or anywhere outside Pakistan which ALLAH has kept best for me. I want to leave this telecom industry and don't want to work in this domain ever again. I have a CCNA and a CCNP with last exam due for the last 2 years. Pray for me. This depression is because of this reason, and is valid since I am worried about my future. I want to join my family in Dubai. I thinking to resign from office without even finding a job anywhere but all my friends and family are against it.
I am a definite lazy ***, my mother has always forced my to finished my CCNP and I never listened to her, now I feel whatever she has been forcing me for was so right and I was a fool.

So what kind of R&D are you doing these days? I feel the same that money is not everything. But we have to see what we can do and what is practical and what does not go with our circumstances.

I believe if you learned your lesson, realized and made a decision then those 5 years were not wasted, worth it.

You are unmarried, qualified with some job experience (all guesses) so nothing much at stake .. at best you'll take a couple of yrs to re-adjust .. it doesn't matter what job u r doing .. the only thing that matter are :

-- never sit idle
-- try not to be financially dependant on anyone
-- wrong or right never regret a decision taken (look ahead)
-- alway submit to the fact that God is the supreme planner

I am single but my job experience will not be very useful for me. That's why I will be relying on my certifications. Its a professional certification and has its own worth in the market. If I try really hard and finish CCIE then the job is guaranteed with job security. That's how it is.

I have heard that along side with other gains yoga increases butt size as most of activities is done sitting on all four. So it will only increase his depression.

I have a net friend from canada who is a yoga instructor. She is an MBA and had worked for a company for over 7-8 years before she decided to pursue yoga as her career. Yoga has made some real great changes in her life. She is diabetic but her level is controlled. Loosing weight and other health issues are resolved.
