In the Land of Turquoise Waters

anyhow about the travelogue........

we tried our luck at the Ormara Naval Base showed em various ID cards but to no avail they refused us entry coz we were not ****

moved to the main bazar it consisted of 4 shops and 2 dhabas... we had much needed tea and snacks... afterwhich we offered maghrib prayers and went on in search of Ukeee hotel or Ju kee hotel.....after walking in the streets for 15 mins we were able to find it .......yipeeeee

entered the premises and found out Vegas like enviroment inside (@asifcae can shed a light on that :)) .....anyhow we knew we were not welcomed we disrupted their great game.... they told us lame **** story about hotel being closed for visitors and mostly it was Jibrish and uncalled for and total pack of lies

with a heavy heart we moved out of the city found a petrol station with Irani fuel filled up 15 litres worth 90 per litre... Yup it was expensive than local fuel if you can believe that.........asked the cashier whether we can pitch the camp here and he refused completely....

moved to a near by bus hotel....where we chilled and had cup of tea and after that another cup of tea as we had nothing to do

buses came and went the waiter at the hotel was very accomodating and he even told us that we can use the room meant for hotel staff to stretch our legs for the night.......I for one was for leaving for KHI right away.....

then it struck my fellow passengers.....ever since the begining I wanted to go to Gwadar we planned a 2 night trip however could nt fulfill due to official committments of the fellow mates..... but to put the long story short a KHI clad habitual Gwadar-KHI driver encouraged us to leave for Gwadar and by 2015 hrs we left Ormara for Gwadar .....

The mid night drive on the Coastal highway was amazing and cooool (H)

we were stopped at various check points, however they just asked for our names and where we were going in the middle of the night....

One point though SINDH POLICE IS THE WORST POLICE IN PAKISTAN.....this is based on experience as I have been all over and have found their attitude to be the worst especially during late night drives on the highway......

Interesting event happened just before Pasni Zero point a Mazda truck was parked in the middle of the road in such a way that it blocked most of the 2 lane highway, i breaked hard and the car came to a complete stop before we hit the truck... the driver and the cleaner were outside the truck pointing the direction of the curb which we could use to overtake the strandid vehicle......I took a deep breath and for a second thought about going back... but just hit the gas peddle and used the curb to cross the vehicle it was over Pheeewwwwww..........WONDER what they were up to in the middle of the night :S

we reached Gwadar at 0100 hrs and started searching for hotels....entered the city not even dogs were outside at that time

continued within the city and entered the bazar it was closed and kept on going used the GPS to locate the way to PC hotel and after limbering on for half an hour we reached PC Gwadar which was closed for visitors after 1130 hrs ... Yes you heard it right the PC Gwadar hotel gates close after midnight and open up in the morning......

entered Hotel Marjan premises just next to the PC it was pitch dark with only moonlight.....we wistled yelled and tried everything humanly possible but the hotel was open with no lights and not a soul insight....

we came back to the parked car unloaded our sleeping bags and entered the hotel loby...just then Sardar Asim bugti disapeared :S

started to look for him........just then another sound struck our ears like an angel's light in complete darkness it was the cartaker.....he told us another lame ***** story that the hotel was under renovation and closed for visitors but we pursuaded him to give us a room for the night for a 1000 bucks.... we entered the room it was 0330 hrs and went to sleep

The team stopped at the check post beside the beach.
When I stepped out of the car I got simply carried away. It was almost the dusk. The scenery took my breath away. Felt myself in a picture frame, hanging on a wall.
Stretches of silver sands and turquoise water. Dark green shrubs and grey, blue hills in the background. White birds highlighted all over the scene. A tug of war between horizon and the sun to get hold of the canvas of sky.
Horizon wants the sky to appear in a blend of purple and pink but the Sun wants to sprinkle gold all over. So the clouds seems to be compromising with both. Carrying the shades of horizon and the crust of gold.
The fireworks of nature, turning sky ; orange, purple, blue and pink. Everyone finds enough liberty to perform its show and make its contribution of colors.
