Indus Corolla 1993 XE Mileage issue

Hi Friends,

I have an indus corolla 1993 XE model with 1300 cc carburettor engine. Its has genuine 300k km on the meter.

I do yearly maintenance, put good quality oil and petrol. My issue is its mileage. Without AC, in city it gives 7 km/L and with AC 6 km/L.

Question: Is the mileage fine? If not, then what it should be? How can I fix this issue?

Any guidance here is highly apprciated,.

Your car needs proper tune up. Its not fine, when in proper spec this engine can give 9-10km/l local and 12-14km/l on long.

For extra milage install mehran carb kabli and enjoy good milage within city.

Jack up your car and rotate the wheels if any of them Rob power then rectify it.......then do tune-up of ur car check dizzy cap.....timing by timing gun.....spark cable resistance......then clean up ur Carby with carb cleaner......check for any vacuum leakage.... adjust mixture......and use oil of 10w-40 if it doesn't burn oil......and last but not least be gentle with ur throttle pedal
