For that, do get exhaust pipes checked and that no oil is leaking/dripping over exhaust pipes.There are heat sheilds(fibre- foam type material) installed under carpet on car floor, do check if its still there or not.

Another thing is, i just got home after a drive with 5 people onboard including me, so with 3 people at the back, the car kept touching the ground at almost every jump. It gets too low, is it normal for this car to struggle with speed breakers with 5 people on board

all 12 valves for a 2E engine have 0.20 clearance setting. any changes and there is serious compromise in vehicle performance and engine may tend to overheat and knock will occur.

Justt got it checked and there was a hole which was quite big just besides steering wheel, this was exposing the engine to the car room, i guess this is where the smell was coming from whenever i took the car to high rpms on ac. I got 2 sheets of ragzine from a local mochi and sealed the whole with samad bond. Just hope it fixed the smell i got on the driving seat

Do you have CNG installed? if yes, this will happen and is not good. I too after trying spacers on stock shocks and springs faced this. Solved it with new KYB shocks (Rs. 10000 for a pair) and local made hard springs(Rs: 1900). This did compromise the floaty ride which indus corolla is known for, when only front passengers are seated.

Yes i have cng installed, i had my left jump replaced 2 weeks back so it took it to my mechanic, he said the jump needs a gutka, whatever that is and that will solve the issue. Hope it solves it and i dont have to spend the amount you just quoted

An Update to the situation,
1. The smell is completely gone once i sealed the hole near steering rod
2. The low ground clearance issue is fixed now, used two gutkas and did some jump work
3. CNG low milage is far better now, after tuning it does 12km/kg with ac

New issue detected:
1. So today cng was off in khi so i got to test the car on petrol for a day, and god it sucks. at first it was dropping rpm and shutting off, i had to go long route and it was night so showed it to a local mechanic that i dont know personally, he said a switch needed welding, he welded it, paid him 300rs and car rpm drop issue was fixed. So after driving 36km on petrol without ac, the car drank 7 litres of petrol, which sums upto 5km/litre, lol i guess thats the milage of a tracktor right? another thing i experience on petrol is when press the peddal hard at low speed, it takes 2 seconds and then suddenly speeds up alot instantaneously resulting in a jerk. this issue doesnt happen above 30kmph, just when i press the accelerator hard when car is at 20kmph or so. Car is perfect on cng MASHALLAH, just want some help with petrol situation

the hiccup over petrol is very natural the jets & the plunger rubber in the carb goes dry when car is used over CNG that results in hiccup at throttling nothing major issue .. would you please share the picture of SWITCH the mechanic WELDED to resolve the rpm drop issue am curious..

I will IA tomorrow, my mechanic said the carburator needs service for low petrol milage issue but he had no time today so couldn't get it done, meanwhile another mechanic told me not to do anything to the car as its normal for this car to give such average on petrol when its tuned for cng? Is he right? If yes then how do i go long route with this car lol? I was planning on visiting punjab, i cant go with 5kmpl on petrol, and i dont want to stop driving on cng in city too

if you can comfortably manage get carb serviced and engine tuned to run on petrol check for 1 tank full for the fuel average it has to be 12+km/liter in city with ac.

once it is working good on petrol - focus on CNG, the kit need to be tuned using regulator.ON CNG only IGNITION timing need to be advanced a little if there is no auto advancer unit coupled.
the ONLY difference is of Ignition timing which need adjustment as the role of carb goes transparent for fuel mixture, when switched to CNG

12km/litre on petrol with ac? Can this car do it? Seriously? If it can i will completely remove cng! Are you sure about it?

2E 12 Valve engine can do it. a member have auto trans coupled with the same 2E engine in a 1995 Indus 9km is avg with ac.So if your car is manual and have 2E cab engine 12Km is fair call.

my ee90 auto petrol avg in city is 9 km /liter

if this thing can do it, i am willing to do whatever it takes, so il get the carborator serviced first and get the car tuned for petrol, il see what average it can reach with that, if it can even do 11 with ac, il be happy keeping it on petrol then.

hey my cars doing 13km/kg in city on cng, is it any good or should it be higher? thats without ac, with ac it does 11-11.5 in city, also can you suggest me the best oil for this car??

hey thanks, got the oil changed, can you help me with the petrol issue, i got the carburator serviced and now there are no more hiccups on petrol aswell, only issue is the average, its giving me 4-5kmpl, another hint that might help is that when on petrol, the silencer throws dark black smoke, the carburator guy who serviced it said that its not carburator issue but i feel hes lying to avoid any support from his side, what do you think?

carb need fine tuning....if its throwing black smoke..that mean its running rich..
