@Asif_Irshad Bhai,
Thanks for the input, I missed that post earlier.
So, you saw Feroz Khan Bhai, thats great, may Allah bless him with long life. We need as many of these national icons as we can, as we have so few of them. These people are the reason why Pakistanis have jobs, however limited, outside of usual agricultural related jobs. It people like him, that create jobs for the Pakistanis, but so few realize it and support people like him. The people like him also want to make money, and there is nothing wrong with that, but what distinguishes them is that they also WANT and DO give back to the society.
Anyway, its good to know that IMC will be working on localization of the sheetmetal process. I was under the impression that they already made the body panels and cage locally, as it is very low tech and does not involve more than few Pressing, Stamping, CNC Machines. But oh well, better now than never.
Hopefully, they will do something about moving upwards and acquired Mid-Tech and High-Tech manufacturing process assistance from Japan.
So, its not TMC that is hessitant to cooperate, but the Habib Group, that is holding its hands back. It took them 17 years to invest in a Basic sheetmetal capability, amazing, but hopefully they keep the trend of localization going, and one day we can also BOAST like our INDIAN friends here that Pakistan can also make cars, all 100% in Pakistan.
This boasting is mainly done by immatures here, I realize, the people who do the actual work, don't have a second to spare on such hogwash.
@timlessfahad Bhai,
Thanks for you support. You are truly a genuine brother.
@nick
You made a valid point. Its not just you that said Hilux is not made in Pakistan, but more sadly, it the Immature Pakistanis here on this forum that are so proudly saying that This or that can not be done in Pakistan.
It will not surprise a Jewish person to hear words of animosity from a Nazi, they both can expect that from each other.
But when Jewish person hears words of animosity comming from another Jewish person, that will hurt him the most. Same can be applied to our people of Pakistan and India.
However, My own Pakistani brothers talking against Pakistani Made Products and its capabilities is more dis-heartening. Hoepfully they realize it one day for all its strengths and capabilities and appreciate our homeland more and work at it to make it better for us all, just like your people are already doing in India. They don't ever talk against anything Made in India, however low tech it may be, compared to the Real Standard bearing countries like Japan.
Infact, most Indians are a good prime example, and I appreciate that. Many Indians will not hesitate to Equate TATA with Toyota. We all know TATA has no chance, atleast not in foresee-able future to be anything near being Toyota Level, Heck the pioneer Giants like Ford, Mercedez, etc. that invented the automobiles and many high level computer technologies that go with it, are Scared blue in their face when they hear the word Toyota.
But this firm belief that Indians have, that TATA is so good, it is almost as good as a Toyota, is almost enviable. They mistakenly Replace the first A of the TATA with OYO of the Toyota.
These two auto-makers are Worlds apart in level of sophistication, experience, quality and global reputation, but to Indians, due to their Strong Faith in TATA, their own National Car Maker is just as good as a Toyota. It can make them feel good in their minds atleast, and that is what counts most. Feeling good about yourself.
In our minds we can all think of ourself as a the most Charismatic and handsome person that ever walked on this planet, but the people around us are not fools.
Self concept and believing in yourself is good. It can be applied at a broader national level as well, to boost your own self image and concept by thinking of yourself as the best of the world, and being equal to the best of the world, but without any substance its just merely living in a fools paradise.
I think you got the drift.
