All, @toofast is rite, Honda was one of the first manufactuerers to introduce 4Wheel Steering to cars namely the Honda Prelude and Honda Accords (both early 90's models but very limited quantities). Although i must add that this technology was already in use by major truck/bus makers, volvo, scania, Mercedes etc.
All wheel drive is not required to have this application, however, the beauty of 4wheel steering is that you get amazing control in turns as the rear wheels steer in the opposite direction of the front wheels, hence you get a sharper turn with hardly any body roll !!
