the fabric of spider had become uneven so i had to make a special tool which can be used as height reference gauge.

this tool was cut from an upper part of a plastic jar which snug fit in the pg body from the back

you can observe its presence in different posted pictures

eventually spider smoothness and evenness achieved with the help of hot air

reinforcement with multiple rings

and final form of voice coil

it was a complex 3D design

which i designed in corel draw

after printing on paper, i realized the difference of 2D and 3D

any how "zaroorat ejad kee man hay"

polygraph dome is very thin so can't work directly on it

have to make a support of plaster of Paris (don't know the actual name)

this reminds me of time when I was 12. I fixed in coil and spider with help of x ray cut cut-out on a 5" car speaker gone bad.. Good work and lot of patience. Sad the electricity supply is so poor in country. half the fun using components got ruined in past years.

yr an artist. you should have proper training school and make good money teaching stuff

now attaching cut out paper on the dome with glue

making it textured for further application of felt (non woven fabric) on it

dome edge added with paper strip to cover diameter size edge strength and spider attachment

to make it stiff coated with wood polish (in black)

after pasting paper web now time to paste felt (non woven fabric heat pressed with house hold press)

after pasting felt, soaked it with black wood polish to makes it stiff at desired level

IMHO dealing with fragile and soft dome can be damaged easily, filling the dome, played a key role in this whole process

an architect or a civil engineer ... i'm quite sure its the first one

why?. engineer?. If one has learnt to focus in life at early age, they can do things outside their profession. many never learn focus. they find easy way to go buy something they need or find cheap alternative.

there was nothing personnel for u in it ... i don't get ur this one tracked response ... i assumed these two professions because of the tools and techniques he was using ... as a matter of fact this is funny let me explain :-

wow ... was appreciating the extent of work he is doing this brought a question to my mind about his profession
the guesses were based on a few things ... the steadler drawing set, the vernier caliper, the board and the use of plaster of paris

i'm not sure why am i explaining this but i wish u look at the world differently

One suggestion if you could plz give a little brief about whats the secrets about part, like you have made dome spider,, if it would have remain same what will be its draw back ?? will it suffer the quality of sound ?? , however again v. nice thread , keep it up with your other projects.
