the 4AGE is not high maintenance at all, its just setting it up right and then properly using it, If you have some idiot half wire the engine and run it on gas you are asking for troubles all day long.

but if you have it done professionally - and use it properly it will not hiccup at all. (Ive done many swaps and they are troublefree)

Nopes - this engine has vacuum generating issues - as there is no plenum in the inlet manifold - even the brake servo requires two signal lines with one way valves - as connecting them both messes up the pull signal (on AFM and MAP) depending on what engine..

the only way CNG will run on this is engine is that if you get the port injected CNG setup with its own ECU and make a new sandwich plate for the injectors - but you would somehow need a fuelling map for this CNG fuelling unit.

Infact Thats The Most vacuum sensitive Engine I Have Seen Till Now....!! If a Lil leak Or Messed up ports.....you are gonna kill yourself

^^ my point exactly and furthermore I said that CNG requires a strong consistent vacuum signal to the venturi to suck gas. which is not entirely possible in the factory setup of this engine..

yar abhi mera engine proper tune nahin howa laikin bomb hai bomb. cng bad ka masla hai. if u need power and want to smoke ivtec and vvti then go for 4age blacktop the cheapest and the powerful engine in pakistan i think:P

@ali3611 bro which octane booster u used?i remmember i saw stp octance booster at hyperstar.it says 1 bottle to be used with 21liters of petrol. we did it on friends h22a1. got 20liters of regukar petrol from cavalry ground pump ,it didnt knock and did felt pretty much noticeable power in 1st 3 gears.car was NA

...no high octane is available..with ma city..
so octane booster..is gud choice..bt it didnt worked..

a guy owned a 88 corolla had 3SGE with CNG and it ran quiet well
its a 2.0l twin cam available in rwd abd FWD gear boxes i saw one a time back about 3 months or so in shoba guy was demanding 60K for it
its hp is near 190-200

after going thru this interesting thread i gather that you are into a sleeper car that runs on economy CNG daily runner and be a rocket on a press of a button . . i think you should come out of pro proformance hi end engines and go for bigger displacement engine with around 200hp power natuarally aspired engine .. non turbo which can easily be bolted with cng .
Go for 1JZGE 2500cc non turbo 200hp auto tranny ..found in toyota mark 2 ....newer version ..but non vvti/non trubo ... go for a clean engine with ac/p/s and other goodies attached with tranny n uncut ecu /wiring . you will have plenty on torque n power with or without cng .. and there are chances on you burning a vvti and vtec 1.8 on CNG with yr auto tranny ...keep your project as simple as possible try fit in maximum parts from the donar car eg / radiator-axel-fuel pump -etc...to avoid having issues in future in case the altrations dont work ... as the cng issue is solve you have other issues as suspension .. braces . strud . stronger chasis. upgraded brakes .

fitting a 1JZ into a FWD platform is impossible - its a RWD inline 6 engine - the only near option is a 3VZ-FE or 1MZ FE FWD V6 from a late 90's camry

You need to do a complete job - not weld some axles together or weld some jackass mounts to make the engine fit. - Its a pretty straight job for a Ae10X frame

when wiring it up you must hook up all feeds and sensors properly. Most importantly
You should have a main relay and a circuit opening relay (fuel pump) for easy starting and also for safety if your engine fails (e.g accident or ignition failure)
starter relay
cooling fan hookup (properly to the car and also to the ECU)
vehicle speed sensor hookup (plays vital role in dictating VVT)
