Dear all,I have heared that Lancer 90-91 has also come with 1500cc engine. Can anyone please confirm this? Secondly, please let me know that can we swap Lancer 90's engine (8 valve) with Lancer 91's engine (12 valve)???? Can it be fixed easily or some major mods are required????Thank you so much guys for your help and support. Rizwan
Hello!as i know...it came up with 1.3L 4G13 Motor....and also with 4G15 1.5L one...both are 12V SOHC......also comes 4G91 but that comes in 4WD versions and thats DOHC 16V engine...!as i know....as its 4G series engine....it can be swapped easily without any major alteration...or might be a Bolt-On...!Thanxx
@SER_GTRThank you very much buddy for this information. I think you can give me a fair idea about what i want to do. I want to buy a Lancer 90 which came with 8 valve 1300cc engine, and then I want to swap the engine with 1.5L 12 valve engine. Guide me will it be better to do and will the performance of the car be improved with 1.5L engine? I also think that the fixing will not be a hassle but is it advisable to do (engine swap) please tell me its pros and cons.Thank you once again dear!
Anyone who can add something into it??? I think Spectra OR Storm will be able to add some information. Thanks,Rizwan
result of my research on internet
Engine 4G13 12-V 55kW @ 6000 1299cc bore mm71.00 strok mm82.00
Engine 4G15 1.5L 12V 69KW@5500 1469cc bore mm75.50 strokmm82.00 (this engine is of GLX)
My second question remained unansewered! Can anyone please help and add something into it?Thanks,Rizwan
Friends please help in this regard. Thank you,Rizwan
no major modifications are required for such a swap. Its very easy for a good mechanic.
@rizwanahmad...u can also swap a 4G93 1.8L 16valve which comes in galant 1994+
Hello!Sorry for Late Reply....!well its a Fair Idea to Swap That....might give you better power than 1.3L one.......!yeah i have had Swap one of my car engines.....!my 92 Sunny got 1.0L on Stock....got same E Series 1.5L one and Swapped it....! its doing awsome....! so swapping is also preferable than overhauling the old one....!Thanxxx
