Info needed about road condition from Naran to Gilgit

I am planning to travel to Khunjerab Pass from Multan via babusar pass on my Toyota Corolla Axio on the next weekend. Kindly advise that can this car travel on the route from Naran to Gilgit with 4 passengers on board. Because I have come to know that there are bad patches between batakundi and babusar pass and than near Chillas.

No need to worry. Travel slowly. Dont push the engine hard and youre good to go.

Landslide is starting in that area. If there is rain in your calender, i suggest not to go. Else it will be fine IA. Just main issue is landsliding.

Just returned from there today....you have heard it right the road from Chilas to Raikot bridge is pretty bad.

the only bad patch is from chilas to raikot bridge... rest all is no problem,,, two or three small bad patches of 20 to 50m are there from naran to jalkhad (no prob. take ur vehicle with care)... then till kkh (chilas) road is excellent. from raikot bridge to gilgit... u wont find any single bad patch. road is excellent.

the only part is chilas to raikot bridge.. ofcourse its a running road and you can take ur axio with care.

I think it is like 56km from Chilas to Raikot Bridge...the last 3-4 km is pretty rough...at the moment it is basically a bumpy dirt track with small stones...but yes saw a lot of cars on that road, including Axio's but most of those were NCP, so they were driving link 'disposal cars' . Axio has good ground clearance, i think if you drive carefully, it wont be a problem. But yes please do check weather forecast because I think rain can cause big problem.
Also please remember...it seems Gilgit and Hunza are the most favorite part of the country to visit in 2016 so keep in mind that you might stuck up in traffic jams. It took me 2 hours from Mansehra to cross Abbotabad which is like 20km or so. And traffic going upward was not smooth either.

Just going back to gujranwala from khunjerab pass right now m staying in abbottabad road is in good condition there are few patches from naran to babusar but axio can easily cross from tatta pani to raikot bridge there is a bad patch of 3-4 km with no sign of road its a land slide area we stuck there for almost 24 hours if there is any chance of rain then dont travel on that portion wait for rain to stop n ask road condition frm any local n remember to keep extra water biscuits and cup cakes with u incase u stuck in a land slide bcoz we managed that 24 hours with cakes n biscuits u will only find hot water in that area so keeping extra water bottles with u is must
