Me and my friends are planning a fishing trip to Simli Dam. I've got the directions from Google Maps. The Express way-Lethar Road-Simli Dam Road suits me the best. Can any body tell me the condition of roads? Also can any body confirm if fishing is allowed over there or not?

The security situation in simli dam is not good some days back my friend was looted on gun point.
Khanpur dam is a bit safe.
I have been to simly dam from murree road side,or u could say from bhara-kahu side.Road is 90% gud but few km's near the dam r not so well,but manageable.As for fishing,U need to have CDA permission for that and If u know someone high-up in CDA then it's possible.BTW r u a seasonal or frequently going angler??wat species r u planning to target??BTW i can recommend u some other places as wellsecurity is satisfactory if u r going with CDA permission otherwise i would not recommend and overnite stay,just reach there with first sunlight and leave at least 45-30 mins before sunset.
Get rest house accommodation as i heard Rest House on Simli Dam is very good, Fishing not allowed without prior permission. Nice Area but must b Local or come back b4 Sun Lights goes over
I second @imtishal. I've taken that same route to the dam a couple of times. I'll add that as the place is not developed, you'll have to take something with you to eat and drink if you're planning on spending the whole day there.

@imitshalNo yaar, Im not frequent in such things. Aaj kal waisey hi fishing ka shauk charha hua hai soocha ke simli dam chalte hain!!! Thanks any ways. Do you have any info regardingh Shahpur dam near new airport site? I heard you can get excellent fried fish from there!!! Is fishing allowed over there?
Shahpur Dam( Fatehjhang Road) is Nice Lake site for hunting a fish.
Ma went thrice time in last year.
Hardly 25min drive from Islamabad M2 interchange.
Just ten rupee ticket for a day to do awesome fishing hunting.
