Info required for Kumrat Valley visit on Bike

**Hi guys, **
**Friends are planning to visit Kumrat Valley in last week of September. **
Following informations are required for finalization of plan;
- Is it possible to visit in Last week of September or early October?
- expected weather condition?
- Is it doable on normal bikes i.e. 150cc, 125cc, 100cc?
- How far bikes can go in Kumrat?
- Road condition ahead of Dir (Bab-e-Kumrat) w.r.t bikes and drive (any danger?)
- Is Camping recommended?

Any other advise for this tour would also be appreciated.

• yes, it is possible in last week of September or October
• check forecast for weather
• yes, it's doable as locals use CG-125 there
• from Dir you can go to Thall via Kalkot, Patrak, Sheringal
  From Thall you cam Off-Road to Kumrat Forest i.e. 2hrs from Thall
  You can further go till "Tor Obba" which is a fountain about 2 hrs ahead
  The last Point one can Off-Road is Do Sanga ( meeting point of 2 streams)
• Road conditions will be so so (but as you have attempted Chitral-Shandur-GB so you will make it)
• there are camp hotels @ Kumrat Forest in season, so one can camp

Just returned from Kumrat a week back, it would be cold by time you are planning it was cold already after sun is out, dir and even until That road is fine...

After Thal there is no road at all but a track an offroad one, which is highly dangerous slippery specially if it rained so beware travel accordingly.

after Kala pani pond there are some freakingly heavy stone paths which bounce your bike really really bad so there youw ill have to be extra cautious.

Just returned yesterday night after completing the route....LAHORE-SHRENGAL-KUMRAT-THAL-BADGOI-KALAM-MAHODAND-BAYUN-GABEEN JABBA-MINGORA-MALAMJABBA-LAHORE.
Our rides were GS150se-CG125 & CD100.

Thanks Vicky ...our tour frequencies are almost same...like our Deosai tour.. i started to visit Kumrat on your return.
Yes it was cold but we did camping at Shrengal & Kumrat with BBQ & cooking
It was tough but amazing experience.

congratualtions... yes camping and bonfires are the best thing to start a good night there... and those glimpes of milky ways are just too gud...
