yes u are right but may be i can find some day i want to fit it in my toyota corolla 1988 london model

try those who import engines at dry ports at lahore or isb. they'd be a treat if set up properly, got more torque than a 1.8 altis engine and all that in the 1800-3000rpm range. great for everyday driving!

You will get its injectors screwed in no time. Vigos and Prados in our family undergo injector replacement after every 1,00,000 km. Our diesel full of sulfur content is told as the prime reason.

So be careful and do some homework over its reliability in Pakistani environment.

the failure is not entirely fuel related - if it were correct many mercedes CDIs would be sitting dead and also the big volvo truck engines would be sitting dead too.

The failures are multiple issues of heat soak, bad upkeep, most can be saved by regular servicing and tapping into the OBD to make it go through diesel injector test sequence.

^^ All the vigos that used to come to my shop - they had their original fuel filters from Toyota motors - after 45,000 kms - that is a sure way of saying BYE BYE to the fuel system.

The other factor was the stupid interheater on the engine - and lastly the MAF dying causing good startup but running problems.

I used to treat them to liqui moly purge too - it can really clean out the system.

i saw one swapped in mini pajero some time back, the swap was totally screwed, fwd setup mated to 4wd tranny, i wonder how it was running :S
