Insane delievery time of honda city

after a compehensive homework on honda city i finally decided to book it when i went to honda showrooms in lahore they mentioned 1st october as delievery time.
my personal thinking is that their cars are not being sold due to new model craze in people so they are exceeding delievery time to put people in hype so that they inclined towards city.

no benefit of contacting any other showroom in pakistan because honda has changed policy. now time is same. quota system is finished. direct booking with honda is done.

I think due to insane demand of Civic X & BR-V their production schedule for city are placed later months.

That is really insane. I booked my City on 07 Jan 17 and delivery time is 31 March. At that time, GLI delivery time was about 5 month. New model is expected to be launched next year as per news. I don't know what they would achieve by increasing the delivery time. May be the demand for Honda cars really has increased.

I think the demand of Honda City is very high as it is the only sedan available under 1.7 mil. Also I went to Honda Gateway on 2 March for my cars first checkup and I saw at least 50 new Honda City cars ready to be delivered to the customer. Dealers deliver the car to the customer the same day they receive them from factory so 50 Honda City from one dealer on one day means demand is very high. Also it depends on what variant you are ordering e.g for Prosmetic time period is 4-6 months but for Aspire 1.5 MT it is one month. I booked my Aspire 1.5 on 6 Jan and got delivery on 1st Feb

This really is insane, b ut its pakistan as well, you can always find ways of getting your booked car as early as 5-7 days, all you have to do is find the right contacts in HONDA, i had booked my Honda city 1.3 on 28th January 2016, had a contact in Honda and my City was delivered within a week on 6th of February 2016,

Honda city has a ridiculously high demand these days. Last year march the time was one month only.

Got 30 September as tentative date. Booked 1.3 Manual this week.

Yes, It does seem as though the manual 1.5L gets delivered pretty quick. Received mine in 16 days.

It is not demand but production load of civic, BRV also I suspect that supply chain issues are the main reason as within one month , the time has jumped by 3-4 months for every model.

Also a mafia is in full swing so they also have a role to play in it

Booked 1.3 MT in mid December and got it on 1st march. 10 months of wait now is ridiculous. It's not Atlas but Honda japan who is reluctant to make an investment in new plant to meet the demand.

I dunno whats going on in Punjab but in KHI, We had our car (Honda City) delivered in 6 days.
