Insta Gas water geyser vs regular geyser, which is the best?

Is electric geyser reliable than the gas convention geyser? As you know conventional gas geyser are very reliable. Our house having geyser as old as 20 years without issues and they can handle our pressure pump easily.

N..isn't there electric shock risk in electric geysers. They're all local or China made, not strict n safe euro or US technology

the pilot will extinguish if the thermopile isnt hot - ergo locking all gas in the thermostat. When the thermopile is cold gas wont even pass into the main part of thermostat that is the face dial.

p.s. make sure you are using a natural gas thermostat and not an LPG one - some cheap geysers in Pakistan came with LPG thermostat - which causes lighting issues with both the pilot and the main and also generates lots of soot.

Its true - but you need to make sure your hot pipes are well insulated too. Otherwise the run time increases and costs you money.

My point was that conventional geysers (gas or electric) are dangerous as they may explode due to drum breakage..There have been many such cases.... Safety valve must be tested each season and refreshed with some wd40.

Ive never seen one explode like a bomb, i have seen and replaced lots of leaking ones though.

Usually happens when they are not maintained.

Yes, too much pressure inside, they are prone to blast if safety valve isn't working.

The safety valve works pretty ok all the time, the thermostat assembly also switches off once water is hot enough (unless some jackass modified it)

The heatrap nipples also work (unless your plumber didnt install them) as they are one way valve for hot side.

I trust you have seen them literally explode like a bomb and take out an entire side of a building like an RPG?

I havent though, the worst I see are leaking ones.

How can it build so much pressure? Isn't it open at the top? The way I've seen, the input pipes are always open from the top above overhead tank level to prevent airlocks.

Not every system have air vent pipes. Even if there is one, that can't possibly prevent the pressure build up.
