Install both oil/wet and dry air filters in engine

Hello PWs,
A humble question needs tech answer.
Will two air filters (oil /wet & dry) installed in series at intake of carburetor of engine affect fuel consumption or performance etc? Or is this configuration more beneficial?

Fuel mileage no.
Performance wise...It's a carburetor, will perform the way you tune it. If you provide more flow then you have to adjust fuel with it. In the end you might get some performance by burning more fuel.

Thanks. I presume by tuning you mean adjustment of air fuel mixture screw of carburetor only.
