Install cruise Controll in Cars?

UPDATE: i spent over 4 hours at honda empire mirpur.tried the new steering,codnt get the cruise or audio controls working.ive noted that the steering reel and output from the clock spring has only 1 wire i.e the horn orange color wire.no other wires! Now can any1 tell me how to do the wiring to get the cruise working? The audio guy said he would take out wires from the stereo after opening it and would get the mode,channel,and channel up down working.should i let him to go ahead or not? @ CYLESTYNE U R BADLY REQUIRED HERE!

UPDATE: OK guys.after a long struggle,research,patience,screwing my clockspring(priced at RS 10580.00 :o )of my 08 civic,then waiting for the clockspring,getting the airbag lite to go off after many patient months, i managed to get the audio controls working like a charm on my civic with the indash 6 cd changer!! Spent like six hours yesterday alone in opening up the dash,the stereo etc,getting the wiring done,the routing it to the audio controls in a professional manner! ALHAMDULILLAH not even the slightest of scratches or scuff on anything! N the best part of it all I DID IT ALL BY MYSELF! The controls are great and features like the mode(shifting between AM/FM,and cd player) volume up and down, channel +/- (changing tracks and also changes the cds if u continue pressing it) all WORKING. In this all things like removing the airbag,steering,dash board,indash cd changer n its fascia,replacing clockspring,resetting airbag lite,wiring,connections were done by me! Im proud of my achievement!hehehe!

the worst part was i was so much into the installation i forgot to take the pics step by step.it was cold and was wearing just a t-shirt to avoid scratches.however got a last pic b4 installing the airbag.however made a video of its working.i use gprs so v difficult in uploading vdo.ill do it sometime. @airomerix im crazy to get the cruise working.but somehow no lead as yet.ive started the khawari of research again. As stage 1 of steering con is complete.(no swi adaptar or bluetooth connectivity device etc was used nor the stereo was opened) Ill try to do it myself as i seldomn get time out from cmts.Cylestyne's input required.the main problem is getting the electrical connections to the instrument cluster.

@TASH plz google installing audio and cruise con on 8th gen civic.after u get some know how what reqs to be done only then i wod be able to guide u.our clockspring wiring is quite diff n the wiring to our stereo is also diff. Once u've done that i'll guide u further

Congratulations, what was the total cost and time?

^cost was steering wheel with audio controls £ xxx (my bro paid so im not sure)+ RS 20 for wire!! + RS 10580/- for the steering reel/clockspring(as i accidentally got it snapped) you can save this if the curiousity doesnt get too much to u and u start wondering how it works lolz!! Rest time+research took a little over 3 months. Actual installation took around 6 hours.

UPDATE: spent over 9 hours in my phase 2 but still was unable to get the cruise control to work.i was quite optimistic as had most of the wiring diagrams etc. Im pretty sure we need to change the instrunent cluster n maybe the wiring loom as this is what an american did in getting cruise control working in his DX. So sukoon for the time being!!! Ill try to get a new instrument cluster from the US.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE : i had ordered a new cluster from the US n it has arrived! I installed the tachometer. It has additional features like displaying TPMS, HANDBRAKE INDICATOR, n other funcs. The BEST PART I DID DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND VOLLA THE CRUISE MAIN N CRUISE ON ARE LIGHTING UP YIPPEEEEEE !!!!!!!! all i need to do is hook uo the 3 wires from tacho to cruise buttons n im pretty sure it will work.....! Was getting dark will do rest tomorrow! Need all ur prayers... Wish me luck! I need it big time im so near .now..... : ).

the car automatically changed to MPH on speed as the tacho is for US LX 4 dr sedan! I guess ill have to live with MPH from now!
