Hello brothers, I did this back in January but never shared it. Was going through my pictures and thought of sharing them with you people :). I ordered my hids from the US. My dad sent them to me.The items were :
Hid kit H4(hi/low):4500k Slim Ballast.
Hid kit H11 (fogs):3000k Slim Ballast.
They've been running great since then. No problems at all. I wanted to install them myself, lol it would've been easier to just pay 200rs to get them installed but that would've been no fun at all.
I'll let the pictures do the talking now
1st picture: The stuff.2nd picture: The car of course ! lol3rd picture: Have to pry out all the plastic clips to open the bumber, I had to remve the bumper and headlights because the H4 bulb was too big to fit in through the engine bay.4th picture: The slim ballast/5th picture: One of the fogs hooked up.6th picture: The high/low controller.7th picture: The H4 connector. Only one is used. The hids are connected with harnesses and relays direct with the battery.8th picture: Testing the fogs. They're sweet when warming up, turn blueish green and then go yellow.9th picture: Finally done ! Sorry for not posting detailed pictures, I wasn't taking any at the time. Job took 40 minutes.
Salam.I am also using ddm ballast's for the past year. But my experience is not good though. They do not fire up the first time, i have switch them on and of again to get them working. Have you encountered this problem?? BTW, Are you using 55w or 35w ballast's.. I am also using morimoto 35w ballasts, and i have not encountered any problem's eversince, they were expensive but i think they are the best one can buy...
@sardarsaeed: Wasalaam. Brother mine are working fine. However I made a mistake of mounting one of the ballasts near the radiator and I guess because of the heat, that ballast stopped working. I had to send it back and got a replacement ballast (procedure was a pain) but I got the part and changed mounting positions. The trick is, never start the wiring from the battery. Always place the ballasts where you want and start wiring from them towards the battery. In my case I ran out of wire for the ballast and mounted it near the radiator. About your problem, that's strange though. I haven't encountered that problem yet. Mine work fine. They're 35 watts. I guess they're cheap so we can expect problems. You prob know what the price tag is. Morimoto looks like a fine brand though.
