Installing Sports button/Sports mode in pre facelift 2017 Altis 1.8 Grande

I have 2017 pre facelift Altis 1.8 (the one that came with climate control and same instrument cluster as in facelift model). I was curious if Sports button can be installed in it and Sports mode can be activated like it is in facelift models 2017+. Querry is if its ECU supports this and is same as facelift? Technically if ECU is same, no hardware changes should be required to activate it.

why do you want it ????
my cousin has 2 grande's
old and new one both
only difference is with sports mode engaged it drives like the old grande
without it, its kind of on economy mode

It's already in sports mode all the time.

actually the speedometer is changed in facelift along with the imid .. as far as sports mode button is concerned you'll have to change the ecu for it to work as in fl grande the ecu is also changed and no the ecu is not same like i already mentioned.

what .. actually the added sports mode in fl makes it kick instantly to peddle press after you leave it at like 50 or 60km/hr pre fl has little bit of lag which the fl clearly doesnt ..the ecu is little changed in fl thats why.

That's not ECU, that's just few values increment in electronic throttle map.
