No. Poor mileage can be due to many other causes, not running rich, in the absence of other symptoms. As explained below, you need to view the O2 sensor readings in real time on an OBD2 scanner.

If you vary the injector pulses by as much as 25% you will likely fall outside of the parameters that the ECU is able to adjust for properly. If the engine runs too lean or rich for long periods of time, you will risk ruining the catcon.

ok then i will increase the width by 10% & then see how ECU responds by observing the injector width before & after the device on Scope, in theory it must reduce the width by 10%

IA on this saturday i will do some final test drive + display the results openly, i am not hiding any thing as u did & this thing has nothing to do with CNG.
The biggest advantage of this setup is that no wire cutting is required :), dude this device (hardware/software) performs flawless no glitches each & every component is selected after regress calculations.

Still i am not sure about it effectiveness bcz some of the PW members r saying WB O2 in exhaust wil readjust the Injector width in order to maintain optimum AFR.
Lets wait & see

i m not disturbing the actual ECU functionality. ECU runs normal just manipulating the Outputs,
Dude still the performance is doubtful as ECU runs in tight close loop & depends on O2 sensor for fine adjustment, tomorrow IA every thing will be cleared after performing the tests

But you are - by interfering with the feedback control loops. The ECU sends out the signals to the injectors to dump the correct amount of fuel based on the amount of air reported to it by the MAF, and expects to see the proper effects of that combustion by the O2 sensor. If you intercept and modify the signal to the injectors, then the ECU will see a discrepancy and attempt to correct for it as far as its algorithms will allow or set a malfunction code.

If you stick to modify the total 20 % of the duty cycle of the peak threshhold and after the peak opening of the total injection pulse duration your AFR will only drop by 13% and this 13% is acceptable by your Vehicles Narrow band 4 wire O2 sensor it has only 1 O2 sensor in it only Pre catalyst and does not had the post catalyst O2. as far the concern of the result's you will be inshaAllah be successful. as far the concern of wide-band sensor on the latest vehicle's they usually adjust the fuel by trimming it on + or - side equally but if you modify the total injection pulse by 40% the ltft will command the ECU to readjust the total injection but if you do control your circuit with 555 timer IC you can over come this problem and let the Fuel trim's adjust the total injection pulse but on he other end of the wire you will be feeding the engine with your programmed Pulse width. that all the game. when we firs started our economy shop we played with the total injection pulse width output and had been successfully done it but the customer's here in pakistan just want more economy output from their engine but we tuner's had some AFR limitation's barrier which we cannot cross in any way.

Dude can we see ur Circuit Boards if u dont mind?? i hav heard about a person in Pindi who makes some ugly device & fill up with some compound thingy as i know there is nothing special in it jst a POT.
Man its not simple 555 i am using really advanced controller in this board & the length of the code is 20 pages, its a very efficient flawless code with all protective checks.

OK guys Test Setup is ready

Here comes the PROBLEM, it looks like OEM ECU has no Back EMF Inductive kicks absorber, The O/P of my circuit is very sharp & fully filtered Pulse whereas the inductive kick can b seen in the 2nd pic,

The tight Injector pulse makes the Engine to jerk lil bit, lets remove the filtration circuity & see wht happens next

Finally I m back with some interesting experimental results + video as a proof

The back EMF spike glitch was resolved by removing the noise suppressors from the device. The IFT device performed well as expected, it modified the Injector width (Rich/Lean by 20%) as it is designed for no errors nothing smooth engine running.

Guys this device is useless because as i increased the injector width the ECU automatically reduced the injector width to cancel out the net effect vice versa. It can be seen in the Scope snapshots or its more visible in the Video.

Here is an idea: As you modify the signal to the fuel injectors, how about intercepting the signal from the O2 sensor to the ECU and make a corresponding change there as well? That could fool the ECU into thinking that all is well. Just be sure not to lean out the AFR too much because it will create other problems. In fact, if you just set a fractional cut in the impulse width (say 0.85) and manipulate the O2 sensor output correspondingly, it just might work with the ECU.

A properly functioning modern OBD2 system is pretty close to perfect from the factory.
