Interested in buying toyota fortuner 2016 but confused

I am interested in buying 2016 Toyota Fortuner here in Pakistan but after googling I am not seeing year 2016 Fortuner, but what I am seeing is like discontinued 1st gen marketed as year 2016 Fortuner but since 2015 2nd gen totally redesigned Fortuners are being sold in like Middle East, Thailand and Australia. Could somebody tell me what is going on here??????? And why it costs twice as much compare to other countries???/

bro luckily i work for private company in mid management level and one of the perks is that i am allotted 15 liters of patrol daily on my petrol card, as a single person even in a busiest driving day i don't burn more than 7 liters in my corolla, so lets double the consumption in terms of Fortuners that's 14 liters a day so no worries there. it would have been different story if i would have to pay from my pocket...

well thats for sure i am not gonna pay for discontinued car where there is current new model available for the same car, import would be the way to go as you wrote and saving money along the way is not bad either!
