International Parcel IMO Lahore

Hi,

My international USPS Parcel was received at IMO Lahore on 5th September, 2016.
The Pakistan Post Tracking shows:
IMO Lahore send item to customs in destination country

Since then there is no update on tracking and it is still there for customs clearance. Can someone who has experienced same thing with IMO Lahore GPO suggest anything? or anyone having contact at IMO Lahore please help me out.
I tried calling IMO Lahore and no one picks up the call.

I am really surprised to see that no one has even replied to this thread. Here, I believed that I would surely get help from loads of people who must have contacts at IMO/GPO, you know, because this is pakwheels and people import a lot of things?.
Either people are too narcissist here or they don't really have contacts. Such a treat from PW community.

bro you have to go to gpo for retrieval. SOP is to give some chaye pani thats what once i had to do when my Phone was detained by customs.
I tried finding a legal way but it was way too complicated to follow. thats y i said follow the SOP.

My package is not detained by customs, I guess, it's not a mobile phone and I didn't receive any detention letter from GPO like people receive when their item gets detained. It is just sitting at IMO Lahore waiting to be processed by customs.

There is a search feature on this forum aswell. There is a thread named Online purchase through aliexpress. Kindly visit that thread and read it. There is every info over there. Do some research before starting a thread and complaining brother. :-/

Yes, I have seen all the related posts regarding that and most of them were of mobile phones detained and weren't relevant to the problem that I am having.

I didn't get any detention letter of any sort, as people get if their parcel is detained. My parcel isn't mobile phone. I get that customs detain mobile phones as per requirement by PTA and you have to get NOC for that.

What is the item? Only small items are realeased without any issue..bigger items are detained not only mobile phones.

Sometimes you get a detention memo sometimes you don't. If the tracking status says "record item in customs" it means the package has been detained and its not just mobile phones that get detained. Items that are underinvoiced, items that are not allowed as per law, things the need import approval from relevant authorities can get detained by customs. Call Pakistan Post helpline and ask them about the status of your parcel. They also have contact numbers for customs office.

If it is not detained, usually it will arrive within a week after processing by customs. Rarely it can take longer. One of my items kept sitting in customs for more than a month before arriving.

You should buy such stuff from borderfree enabled stores .in that way the custom duty is already paid to the courier directly before your package is shipped .

Used stuff is not allowed to be imported .thats why it has been detained .
