Introducing the Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition

Toyota has launched a limited-edition model of the Toyota Platinum Etios sedan in India. The Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition is equipped with a few exclusive features for a distinctive look and more convenience.

The Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition is painted in a unique Premium Phantom Brown colour. Buyers can go for the Pearl White with Crystal Shine colour from the regular Platinum Etios as well. Inside, the special edition model gets dual-tone seats that match with the exterior and new pattern armrest. More importantly, there’s a new 6.8-inch touchscreen multimedia system with AM/FM, DVD/CD, USB, AUX, Bluetooth, voice recognition and remote control

The Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition is available in both petrol and diesel models. The petrol model is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 90 PS at 5,600 rpm and 132 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The diesel model employs a 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 68 PS at 3,800 rpm and 170 Nm of torque at 1,800-2,400 rpm. Both engines are coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car’s fuel economy is rated at 16.78 km/l (petrol)/23.59 km/l (diesel).

Dealership sources tell us that the Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition costs INR 9 lakh (OTR, Delhi) with the petrol engine and INR 10.36 lakh (OTR, Delhi) with the diesel engine. In related news, Toyota is planning another facelift for the Toyota Platinum Etios sedan, but a specific launch timeline is unknown.

i just report new cars or upgrades/refreshes in my market mostly thru my own photos or through articles i come across here in pw . Some people think i'm showing off , cest la vie. Toyota calls this car 'platinum' and that's how it is, i guess. Bottom line, i do agree with you. However, this car is nice for a family that wants a Toyota on the down low, A regular petrol Etios can be bought for 7.5 lacs on road , petrol engine in my town.

I happened to come across this special edition etios sedan at a local auto show saturday afternoon

And , a preview of the Yaris sedan too that will go on sale from April. I managed to get an invite for the launch event from one of the dealers. More pics coming in 'my local view' thread sunday night.

No. The Etios and Liva will continue with either a new design or a major makeover. The Yaris will compete against the City, Ciaz, Verna, Linea, Sunny, Vento, Rapid et alia.

Cars with March deals from Toyota in my market

The Yaris. Auto Expo unveil in Feb, Launch in April and delivery beginning in May this year.Price in the 8 to 12 lac range predicted.

Because in Indonesia they are selling etios and yaris hatchback side by side. By no etios sedan there

No mention of Yaris hatchback in media or at the last local auto show i attended. Below is indian Toyota range as shown in their website and can be seen on the streets of india and my pick is the Etios Cross. For the price, lot of car and you can drive it in waterlogged streets or kutcha roads without gettin' nervous about bits and pieces falling off.

Going off topic but i know you like the Polo and VW has just launched the 'Polo Pace' variant at 6.99lacs ex-showroom add about 80,000 to get it on the road and you get the following:

The Polo Pace gets 15-inch, diamond cut alloy wheels. Inside, you get a 3-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster. Besides, it gets an audio system with Bluetooth and i-Pod, USB and Aux-in connectivity options. Safety features like ABS and dual-front airbags are standard.

Mechanically, the Polo Pace is identical to the standard Polo. It comes only in a petrol variant and uses the new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine which produces 75 BHP @ 6,200 rpm and 95 Nm of torque @ 3,000-4,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. VW will bring in the next gen. Polo later this year. Brazil already has the car in the showroom.

Ah Toyotas are all okay for kutcha roads they don't fall off anyways.

Polos are just love to look at. Prettier then anything in the market in the price range.

With new swift right on the corner polo does requires a make over though but the German feel would be really out of the box.

Oh btw I had Indian hybrid camry had pricing issues they were discontinuing it. But still in the line up

New Swift has 75k bookings, i've paid for mine in full and waiting 4 week delivery period.New Polo should have been released in market now, i would have bought it. We're soldiering on with the old Camry with an extensive nose job and it still sells well in it's class.I saw a brand new dual tone VW Passat from my gym window this evening and the Camry and Accord should beware.

i've booked fire red swift ZXi manual with same k-series engine tweaked for more torque and hp, cost me 7.46lac on road. I'm getting chrome surround on radiator grille and body side cladding along with floor mat package etc. Well....

Thanks.I'll post pics once i get the car. I got a call from my dealer asking me i would take a pearl white arctic metallic or midnight metallic blue color car as fire red is in high demand and there is delay in shipment of cars from Suzuki factories in North India. If i say yes i could get my car in 5 working days or i have to wait another two weeks!.I continue to drive my WagonR Stingray till i take delivery of new car in exchange.Thinking...

Red has always been the color for Swift. Some how tomato red only a lasted a few months in Pakistan.

But swift since Gen 1 looks pretty in red

Meanwhile, this is a Toyota thread and i got some info on the Yaris, specs ie. And, Toyota dealers are taking a 50,000 deposit on this car as pre orders

The Toyota Yaris will slot above the Toyota Etios sedan (Toyota Platinum Etios) in TKM’s line-up. A 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine will power the sedan, with a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission sending power to the wheels. This naturally aspirated unit is expected to produce 105 hp and 140 Nm of torque. TKM won’t offer a diesel engine option, at least not at launch.

The Toyota Yaris will have a premium positioning in its segment. TKM will offer it with 12 first in segment features like electrically adjustable driver’s seat, roof-mounted air vents, gesture control for the infotainment system, 7 airbags, front parking sensors, all wheel disc brakes and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

On the outside, the Toyota Yaris has projector headlamps with LED light guide, LED DRLs, electrically adjustable and retractable mirrors, 15-inch alloy wheels, tail lamps with LED light guide and Shark-fin antenna. Inside, the new B-segment sedan features a waterfall design instrument panel, Optitron Meter with 4.2-inch MID, leather upholstery, dual rear power outlets, rear armrest with cup holders, adjustable headrest for all passengers, paddle shifters (CVT model) and cruise control.
