My experience is different from yours. Have bought lots of stuff from alfatah and have always gotten disc on listed retail.

You said you had a special price of 55k for jupiter and i said that special price was for everyone. Then you said you knew it was for everyone lol.

You wont get discount on 55k from alfatah as its already on sale.

That's not what I said. I said I was given 55K quote, I didn't say I got a special price. I was browsing in abid market and some one I know offered me that price.

Later at home browsed online and saw the same price there too.

That price is not for everyone, only who visits that site or find a deal in abid market will have that price. Price for every one is 63k.

Got -25 reading with the infrared meter from our 10 years old haier 1.5 ton. Room temperature was 32 and it was blowing out air at 10(tested with another temp sensor).

Everyone who wants a discounted price can get that ac for 55k. Obviously one has to search the best price in case one wants a bargain. Without effort no reductions. You can get same a.c. for 80k if you don't know your stuff.

63K is official orient website price, retailers/dealers usually pull off 3-4k and sell for lower. I first saw jupiter at metro for 60k some weeks /month back. Point to note is that dealer price is always 2-3k lesser than metro prices. So dealer probably had it for 57-58 at that time. Now season is going to end in 2-3 months so sales will happen.

I remember you giving the notion that you were getting it for a special price when i said it wasn't a steal at 55k. Now that post is edited so cant say anything.

As promised

Both ACs set at lowest temp. Gree at 16C and LG at 18C.

Both had their turbo and jet modes on with max fan. One thing to note is that GREE was taking 12 amps (2 ton inverter) at the time of this recording and LG was taking 8.75 AMPS (2 tons inverter) at time of recording. So gree was taking more power hence was cooling more. Gree was also throwing out little droplets from vents due to powerful cooling. LG wins in power area, and on digital probe there is only minor difference in terms of vent temp.

i got two, this one and another one (Higher quality). the other one hasn't come. ZERO customs and bank charges.. really impressed it came straight to the house cleared by customs automatically.

That gree at -30 is freezing. Which model and tonnage is that.

24LITH - 2 ton inverter. Last years inverter model. 3.7 EER.

The refrigerant in that gree is according to weight, 1.9 kg exact with +-30 grams for purging and removing gauges. so i put 1.93 last year and hasn't caused me any problems.

Of course its not necessary but many people use it for their own reasons. I am just stating the facts. Its up to people what they decide

almost all retailers charge a premium on card payments exceeding a certain limit. Petrol stations also had this issue some years back and then they all started declining card payments for fuel.

The reason is for small amounts, retailers are willing to pay some charges to bank, but in cases where amount is above a certain amount lets say 10k, the premium becomes excessive so therefore they ask cash or 5% charges.

So I've purchased Changhong Ruba 1.5 Ton FULL DC Air Conditioner. However, for some odd reason the compressor trips whenever I move the temperature 28 or above.

For example, if I keep it at 28, compressor will turn on/off as like a non inverter AC.

However if I keep it at 27, the compressor runs continuously.

Any idea on why does it trip? Shouldn't it supposed to be running continuously?

The Amps you're suggesting sounds normal to me. Is your room on the top floor / direct sun facing in anyway?

Yes room is on the top. One wall faces the sun directly.

There's a high possibility that your 1.0 ton AC is struggling and working hard to keep the temperature at 27 hence using more electricity. Try using 28 and see if it lowers the units used. If yes, then you've found the issue.
