50 degrees would be the temperature outside. Inside temperature is around 33 degrees so cooling starts from there. I set mine to 26 degrees which is more than comfortable. I think most ACs that are inverter type are fully DC (that's what I think). Lastly Haier shows 66% saving. Unless there is independent verification than all companies are selling us gimmicks.
I considered Samsung, Haier, Gree and Kenwood. Samsung have good quality products same as Kenwood, so that tells us something. Gree don't know much about and wouldn't go for it but many here claim it's great.
So like you I narrowed it to Haier and Kenwood. Finally went with Kenwood because of warranty, previously products purchased and what made it swing for me was the 75% saving element as that was my initial goal others I would of got Acson or Mitsubishi.
