Hi everyone.. im looking fwd in buying 2 inverter ac's.. a few people said to go for gree..some said orient and lately hier..kenwood too was in the list.. can anyone could guide me with sharing their past experiences and their recommendations?
Currently i have a 2 ton window ac.. room size is 18x24. Looking for 1.5ton option.

Gree or Acson, hands down! Using Haier myself and I don't think it matches performance of Acson. Did get graphs for power consumption and Acson was much smoother. Planning to buy Gree in few days. Gree has an option of 16000 BTU unit as well. Should be ideal for majority of rooms. Available for 58.3K on and installation is free if I remember correctly.

Hi guys all i have been doing in this thread since past season is gree gree gree gree..

Buy Gree hands down. Working geat at my place both inverter and normal.

Secondly yes ascon is good but ascons importer is dealing in daikin so you can get daikin ac which is good but expensive and secondly they dont have 2.0 model they have 1.8 ton.

I have All gree in my home and will buy few more for other rooms, when season starts maybe there is new model.

16000 btu unit? I have no idea what ur talking about. Lol.. what does btu stand for? The higher th3 better? 58.3k??? Thats cheap..i heard gree are around 70k mark and orient around 60 i guess.. i too wasnt inclined towards hier but my cousin said that hier has mitsubishi parts etc..which i honestly dont believe.. anyways ill look into acson aswell.. one more question.. does a gree unit have horizontal and vertical vent movement? The last time i heard there was only horizontal option available.

Orient Ultron 1.5 inverter super chilled in summer (first floor exposed room with large glass windows) and saved from cold winter nights (when there was no gas). Super quiet and trouble free. I have to buy another this season and again it will be Ultron.

Which ever company you decide to go with just remember to always buy the top most model. Because all the companies offer good and reliable parts in there top most models only like 100%copper condenser and 3dc inverter parts.

I am using gree viola, shifted to it after using a Mitsubishi mr slim for 10 years. Its not worth the money and no it doesn't consume less electricity as compared maybe because the room is in the upper floor of the house and it takes time to cool down the room so it consumes like 11 amps if i can remember correctly did share my results last year in this group or the othet one. Overall cooling is on par with Mitsubishi. The throw of the fan is hindered because of the ac grill design . I have to keep the grill open for maximum air throw and boy it increase alot when u open the grill. The remote function is a little gimmicky in the sense thay u change the fan speed and it takes like a minute to increase or decrease it. The fan auto reduces speed when desired temperature is reached. The room is big so it never attain 25c easily during the hot summer days but 27c it attains in half and hour and then the resting amps are like 5 to 6 amps if i remember correctly that only happens for like 25 mins then electricity goes but i have a back up gen so it works out alright in the end. Not very impressed with their claims and stuff about cost savings but yah its outer unit is bigger than ur average g10 inverter models and has golden fins.

After this experience i had to change other acs in my house too, so for then i went for daiken i installed 5 daiken 1.8 tons version in the other rooms regardless of size, tested them with an amp meter non of them ever went above 9.5 amp maximum thay too for 5mins max and all of them rested at 3.5 to 4 amps within 30 mins of use. Air flow was better without opening the grill. Turbo mode was nicet than gree. So daiken really saved electricity whatever the room conditions as compared to gree and lowered it amps much more quickly while attaining the temperature. Though gree was 85k for 1.5 ton and daiken was 1.8 ton cost 128k per ac. But still for an 1.8 ton to come down to 3.5 to 4 amps within 30mins was great. Didn't have the amp meter connected all the time as it was of the electrician so only have the first 30 min data. I intend to use my acs for min of 5 years so it's upto you is paying extra worthwhile do u recover ur money spent on the machine in terms of electricity bills. All i can say is daiken ke cooling maze ke hai on par with Mitsubishi mr slim when it was new in 2005 or 06.in the end want a good ac no gimmicky stuff and proper cost savings buy daiken but thats expensive in the end.

After looking into many options..ive decided to go for gree g10 inverter 1.5ton. Whoever i ask recommends gree, plus many people have emphasized that their outer units are heavy..which i dont know how is relevant!
Anyways, this is the one im talking about.. the model number is 18CiTH11s.. this is their latest model for 2017 i think.. The price i got so far is 70.5k.. anyone using gree g10? What do you guys think of it?..first floor, 18x24 room size, no direct sunlight apart frm the roof offcrse. Would it be good?
Edit: the silver model has the above number, the black one has a different model number. Just went through their fb and website.

Gree viola is not inverter ac as per my information, so i have no data for electricity consumption but it cools my 13x17 room within no time and temperature at 22 is freezing, maybe because room is kind of small and on ground floor with no direct sunlight.

I got gree g10 in 2016 1.5 ton and it worked great last summer but now I believe there could be a gas leak and needs refilling, gree acs are good but their installers are total idiots.

Thanks for ur input bro.. im sure any ac would work well on ground floor.. its a total different case on 1st floor though. How do you compare both ur gree units? Any difference between them or are they the same with only difference in name and looks?

Room size is different in all the cases, 18x20 2 ton 13x17 1.5 ton lomo 18x17 1.5 ton g10, so due to room size factor the lomo just chills it within seconds and position of ac makes air throw reach everywhere so thats best.. on the other hand the g10 cools good but due to room size difference is there.

Is anyone using Mitsubishi 1.5 ton inverter models? (MSZH50VA)

Way too many people are just suggesting brands without giving any reasons. I am currently looking for a 1.5ton inverter model for my 1st floor room where it will run almost all day excluding the electricity cuts from wapda. My budget is max 100k and prefer to have a unit that saves me from huge monthly bills.

This thread is mainly favoring Gree brand since last year but then some are reporting high amperes for the new viola models etc. A local shop guy was giving me option of Daikin model as well when i asked for the Mitsubishi as he said they are great and some people here also consider them very good though very expensive.

What do you guys suggest? Get the Mistubishi or hold my breath and get Daikin or don't even bother with those 2 and get the cheaper ones like Gree and kenwood etc?

Get the daiken honestly, we run our 2 daiken all day. In summer 2015 our max bill with two 2 ton Mitsubishi all day and at night time 2 1.5 kenwood ac which ran for 9 houra at night was 81k for July, in 2016 after we installed two 2 ton daiken running all day and 2 1.5 kenwood our bill in July was 47k.same usage. After that i changed all acs to daiken with expectation of viola. Btw we have two meters in our house this was the result of the ground floor meter. This year all the acs in the top floor are diaken aswell lets see how they compare with last year. I was surprised myself so if ur planing to run it all day go for it.

In terms of electricity savings, I don't think there is a huge difference between inverter ACs from all brands; haier, orient, gree, lg, samsung, daikin, mitsu.

In terms of build quality and longevity daikin, lg, samsung and mitsu are no doubt better than the chinese brands like gree, haier, orient, kenwood etc.

I have done some research and realised we can have LG and Panasonic at similar prices GREE is retailing their ACs at, so why buy a chinese brand when can have better.

Go for LG or Panasonic as both are good brands and their inverter model can be had for around 75-80k compared to daikin which is 119k.
