Inverter Type AC in Pakistan (Inverter/Non Inverter Dedicated Discussion)

I am not expecting a 1.5 ton inverter to do 5A running on full capacity but may be 7A while regular ACs consume 8-9A.
If an Acson or any other brand's 2 ton inverter does around 8A then that's remarkable. I'd go for it.
How much does Panasonic or Daikin 2 ton consume, any idea?

Someone should make a chart of all brands and their power consumption on peak and lowest load levels. And not just assumptions but actual specs as per company brochures. That will make it easier for everyone to decide instead of reposting and asking same questions again and again.

The company's mentioned specs would be on the basis of 220V supply. If that reduces to about 200V then the current would go up. However, yes, it would be a good piece of information to gather the peak and minimum current consumption levels from company provided data if someone could do that.

This shows minimum current to be 1.1A and maximum to be 9.54A. However, a previous page on this thread showed that someone bought this same model in Lahore but returned it since it was R22 gas based and not R410. https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/t/inverter-type-ac-in-pakistan/144358/1320
May be now Panasonic has R410 based inverters. This needs to be checked.

Some more updates to share. Acson 2 ton starts at 0.0 Amp no surge, I made a video today but haven't had a time to upload, it then went up to 7.1 (temp set at 24) and within 35 mins dropped to 4.7 amp (I have added pics), after about 2 hours (I did not get the time to check in between) the current draw was 1.5 amps !! Still looking for information about AUX-DAIKOOL. Have asked reps from daraz.pk too but not much info yet about their physical location in Lahore, facebook page or website. Strange that they are providing a range of air-conditioning products and giving warranty too.I wonder what will happen if there is any after-sales issue and who would we contact for warranty claims?

I visited a local shop and found 2 ton Panasonic Inverter specs. It has 9.5A input power with EER of 9.75 which is pretty good. It was priced around 82k and had R410A gas. It's cool only, no heating. Can someone share specs of 2 ton Daikin or Acson? If it's better than Panasonic then I should go for it otherwise the heat and cool model is around 130k and doesn't make sense to spend so much money on.
By the way it had a cooling capacity of 6kw while the 1.5 ton model on Panasonic UAE site has 5.5kw which is not a huge difference while it's EER is even better i.e. 10.99. Any thoughts on the cooling capacity?

n is there a way to check precise model number of orient ACs to double check if the dealer is offering latest 2017 model and not ripping me off??

i think only the latest 2017 models have ecomfort feature ?

I bought 1.5 ton ecomfort Orient DC inverter (wifi capabale) Golden colour for 54,500 rs from Orient store Bahria Town Phase IV.

Last year I bought Orient Ultron 1.5 DC (Heat and Cool) from Metro Isl for 60,000.

Friends Corporation sent a special offer for 29 April for 1.5 Orient inverter for 52, 500, don't know if it was latest model.

From this website, it looks like AUX is a Chinese company. more details can be found on website. Important thing for us is that who shall we go to if we need to claim warranty in Pakistan in case of any issue. Does not look like that they have an office in a major city of pakistan. May be smuggled units only. Any comments or furthur info?

I just checked haier 1.5 ton inverter has copper tubes n goldfin,
While orient probably has jst goldfins

Orient has wifi compatibility but haier has some new a-pam tech claiming 66% saving

So any suggestion, haier or orient??

P. S haier is 3k more expensive than orient

How can any one measure the thickness of the cooling pipes being used both in Outer and Inner Units, It is important for the users who live near a Drain/Nallah. The newer AC tends to be lighter with thinner material pipes,resulting in frequent leakages, input from any expert on the topic ?????

I recently got this inverter k18pkf and it is a beast in cooling. R22 is used to factory spec as r22 efficiency on ambient temps greater than 46 C is higher than r410a. Although r410a is better in medium temps.

Panasonic with r22 is made for UAE especially. Its nominal output is 5.5kw at 7.5 amps but when there is heat load to remove it can ramp up to 6.5kw on 8.3 amps. Its mid efficiency is Ok but higher and lower efficiencies are best almost.
