Dual Inverter LG Malaysian made and another LG model made in Korea both with 10 years compressor warranty I left off and bought Panasonic as found both to be discontinued models on their website.

Samsung 3 different triangle power inverters models, 2 Mitsubishi electric models and 2 Daikin models being offered were all not present as LIVE on manufacturer websites. This left me an impression that may be these importers get it for lower prices compared to Live ongoing models of each brand and thus higher profits by selling them in Pk. I am heavily verifying specs on my mobile internet whenever buying any electronics right there on the showrooms and ignore what sales man has to tell me.

The Gree model u mentioned is their new model introduced this year with Wi-Fi and 4D airflow.thisis available around 70-74k in Lahore. However they claim that Viola series introduced last year is their best model with highest EER of 4. I have not used so cannot comment. Their U series model is the most expensive with a price of above 115k for the 1.5 ton one. I have been using Orient ultron plus 1.5 ton for last 1 year and quite satisfied with the cooling and current consumption. Have been checking for a better 2 ton inverter and Panasonic seems quite good in terms of specs. will check for the R410 model too.

how much power does your Orient 1.5 Ultron Plus consume? Have you checked its peak current and least running current? I am thinking about buying one.

Good write up bro... I installed an ammeter on my Panasonic. On cool mode temp set to 27 C it maxed out at 9.1 amp and achieved 27 C in 12 minutes. Room temp prior was 32.5 C. Now Iam watching it work and after 1 hour room temp is 28.3 and AC is working at 1.9 amp. Room temp is now constant and I haven't set any Eco mode on it yet.

One thing, I am using an external digital thermo which is quite cheap. Cost rs300. I should cross check it as well. These were my findings for time being.

That's some real power and money saving. I think govt should force electric supply companies to consistently run campaign through media to aware people about advantages of inverter air conditioners. Although they are expensive but cost is recovered within few months in bills. This will also help in tackling electric demand and supply issue and lower load shedding.

conventional air conditioners use too much power and this is reason electric consumption on national level is increasing every day as most people only buy conventional air conditioners thinking they are cheap. They are indeed cheap but running them empties your pockets.

When I set desired room temperature at 27degrees it takes about 40-50 minutes to achieve it and during this time it goes to as high as 10ampere ( I did not check voltage which could be around 200V at the time).on achieving the desired temp it comes down to as low as 1.6 - 1.8 amperes. On Orient's website the specs show current variation to be between 2.5 and 9.7 ampere.

Keeping in view the price of about 55-60k, this seems good enough.However, after reading reviews about Panasonic k18pkf and that it comes down to 1.1amperes, it seems better but around 85-89k. It uses R22 gas

Kindly suggest the best inverter Ac with minimum power consumption and best output.
1 ton will work ?
1.5 ton ?
Mention the prices plz i hv no idea wht are the prices now a days and which brand is gud.

1 ton can work if room is on ground floor and no direct sun light secondly in use of 1 or 2 ppl at max..

Best option will be 1.5 ton.

Help regarding ac smell.. it a new unit installed few weeks back but there is some sort of smell which is not noticeable to occupants of room but when someone comes from other room it another story.. any possible solution?

Testing at user temp set to 25 C. Inverter took 30 minutes to pull it down till 24.7 C.

Started with 9.1 amp max. I noticed it starts to slow down even before the lowest temp is reached. In this case it dropped to 8 amp when 26.5 C achieved. At 26 C it was further down at 6.5 amp. Then worked on 6.5 amp longer until temp was 25 C and switched to 4.4 amp till min temp 24.7 C achieved. So when min temp was achieved inverter instead on full power was only at 4-4.4 amp.

I slept after this and today in morning when I woke up after 8 hours I took this pic. There is no Sleep/economy mode activated but somehow Inverter likes to raise room temp by 1.5 C in morming the final temp was 26.3 C and final minimum power/wattage only 1.6 amp (350 watt approx). Cant call it weak performance still is quite strong. Energy saving is great. It seems you have to set temp at Minus 1 degree from the value you want to achieve throughout the operation. If you want 27 C u need 26 dialed in and if you want 26 C u need 25 dialed in on remote.

i think orient ACs also use Panasonic compressors. but not sure. I did see panasonic compressors in Dawlance refrigerators and air conditioners.

if it is not burning smell it is fine. it will go away over time.

1 - 1.5 degree variation is normal as hot air keeps coming in from underneath doors and gaps in windows. Also these cheap digital thermometers are not so accurate

This strange smell keeps coming back somehow. It is generally the case with two inverter acs that I have personally observed.

I have bought 16CITH3F and the flow is probably even lesser. Haier inverter has significanlty greater flow rate in comparison to Gree.

Agreed. Acson is infact a far superior brand in comparison to any chinese brand including gree. Just measure their standby currents and you'll know instantly the quality of components being used in each. Acson has by far the lowest standby power usage.

That I must say is very poor programming of the chip controlling inverter speed. I had the same issue with Haier DC inverter (in heating mode), it used to trip after reaching the desired temperature, I screwed them a lot so that got it reprogrammed (twice) before I closed the complaint.

Can anybody please post here how to calculate EER. For instance, this AC shows an EER of 9.75, which is easier to calculate i.e cooling capacity is 6.0 kw or 6.0 kw x 3.416666 btu/kw.h = 20500 Btu/h or 20500/2100 watts (2.1 kw power input is mentioned) = 9.75 EER. But how do they calculate EER of other ACs like Gree, Haier etc which have EER ranging from 3 - to maximum of 4?

Facing the same issue of smell on my gree eco inverter 16CITH3F (16000 Btu model). The AC performs well but when its run on fan mode manually or when the compressor automatically trips (in cases where ambient temp equalises the desired temperature and compressor doesn't have to run to maintain it), its starts smelling and it actually smells quite badly. If any body has any insight on this, please do share!

Which brand you are using? Facing same smell problem on my gree inverter. Doesn't happen on Haier.
