I would again and again and again recommend Gree. Consumption and everything you know already. :). Rest is up to you.

Regarding LG, once 2nd hand, no one bothers about the make or technology used. Mitsubishi go at highest. Gree, LG and Samsung at no 2 and all other Chinese brands at 3.

All they care to ask is how old the machine is. 5-8 years 15000-18000, 3-5 years 23-25000 and 1-3 years 30-33000 and within a year 70% of the original price.

That's a rough idea. Do let us know in how much did you succeed to sell yours.

Today i visite sargodha market and found acson, gree, panasonic dc inverter air cons, each dealer was prasing their concern brands, i became confused and return home with empty hands. I was actually finding Hitachi, which was not found.

Guys help me and tell me which brand is better to buy.

all brands which you have mentioned here are doing good job.

lets look it that way

Panasonic and hitachi are jap made they are really good but I'm not sure whether they have service centre here or not.
Acson is another rising brand from Malaysia there 1ton inverter ac is roughly around 83k which also does great job
Gree is chinese brand though I have heard great performance from everyone and it's the cheapest one.

so it's entirely depend upon your budget don't listen too much dealers.

my fridge is taking 1.4 amps - is it ok?? can this be reduced by using some energy efficient fridge from Haier etc.
i have today noted that in stand-by mode i.e. when GREE AC is off, the unit was still taking 0.2 amp i.e. around 44 watts - i understand that it is ok but please correct me if i am wrong.

Is 1.4 amp running current? It seems a bit high. You should also measure starting current. Unplug the fridge, wait for 3 minutes, plug it back in and measure amp draw when the fridge compressor starts. About GREE, 0.2 amp is usually consumed by the fan (with compressor completely off)

DC ACs? Why would you go for a DC Ac? Do you mean Inverter Ac?
I would recommend Gree since its best economically. If however you are willing to pay higher, then go for Acson since its expensive but is better than Gree in performance.

Depends how big and old your fridge is. If its older then it'll definitely take higher because of the wear and tear. Also, Gree doesnt take 0.2 amps, it runs on 2 amps when the room temperature is steady which usually takes 1 hour for the Ac to reach. Again it depends in the room size and Ac capacity.
However, Gree starts at 8 amps and comes down to 2 amps, there is no doubt about that since I have tested myself.

ok bro., i have also purchased the online plug type energy meter and will use it for knowing the daily consumption. It will take sometime to reach my via Aliexpress. About GREE, i have noted this 0.2 amp while the unit was OFF via remote i.e. was in stand-by mode.

On stand-by most appliances consume less than 5 watts. So 0.2 amp seems high. Are you sure the live wire that goes to the AC is not shared by another device such as a light?
