Well bought an Orient inverter 1.5T. Latest version as shown here on their site:
OS-19MTC2 B IN-HC ? Orient Shop - Though the model on the box says OS-19MTC2 M IN-HC (where M is instead of B).
Anyways, the first store (abid market, lahore), the guy was constantly pushing for LG inverter V model, saying it was korean made. Showed the list price as being 89K, while he said he could give it for 82K. Doesnt come with the pipes, installation at 1500rs. He said the lg and samsung were the only ones to have a slow start, while gree, heir, orient start full then slow.
Went to a friends shops. He straight up said gree, orient and samsung. (acson too expensive so didnt consider it). He said its all locally assembled, lg, samsung etc etc.
He said to go for orient, gave it for 78.5K. Comes with pipping. Though doesnt come with the electrical wire to connect the outdoor unit (so thats another 500rs). Installation 1000rs.
He said Gree comes with silver pipping, i dont know if thats true. He had two orient models, the one I got was the latest which he said was release this April. Had last years April released model which was the same price. Said the newer one has better cooling and throw.
Performance? Well I have no way to measure output. I can check the room temp in fan mode. So checked a few times. Room temp being 33C, dropped to 26-27C in about 15mins (using turbo mode). The room is 16x16, coolest room in the house though (has a room on top and no direct sunlight).
As far as how much power it uses on startup, I believe it is a slow start. I can feel cooling improve after a min or so. No flicker of lights when it turns on. Planning on solar for next summer so thats why invested in the inverter ac now. Lets see how it goes.
