Is that Kenwood T3 outdoor unit slightly bigger than normal compressor models?

T3 models usually have slightly bigger outdoor units, as per my knowledge. That's one visual check.

I came across some Haier T3 and the outdoor unit was almost same as T1 ourdoor size and cooling at peak temperatures was a little better than T1, but i would rate that as a so called T3 rated. Power consumption was as almost as high as T1. Sort of a ripoff.

Are you talking about the room temperature or the air that is coming out? The air temp may not be as chill as non-inverter because non-inverter is running at full power whereas inverter adjusts its power according to requirement

Yes its slightly bigger. I haven't purchased it yet but most probably I'll go with it after checking Pel inveteron.

I have observed an interesting phenomenon which make me believe that the local companies are just re branding the chinese ACs. A neighbor of mine has kenwood with significantly bigger outdoor. The other day when I looked up I saw same model installed in the apartment above my neighbor one. I climbed up to check that how both of them have got similar model. When I checked it it was a PEL ac but exact 10/10 thing which is installed as Kenwood in the lower apartment. Now it got more interesting when I saw exact similar outdoor in a shop of my local market and guess what that was carrying an Orient sticker. I will snap some pics for you guys on weekend in sha Allah.

PS I understand that most of the ACs are similar but this model has some signifiacant curves and shape which made me suspect that these companies are just into re branding Chinese ACs.

My homage inverter is in 7th year of service now and working fine. I don't disagree with you though, a lot of people might be facing severe issues with their products. I have one kenwood installed in my drawing room and is seldom in use. Its probably been one and half years but I haven't had any problems with it.

The quality of homage inverters 7-10 years ago was very good. But these days pathetic. I have got homage vision 1000 bought in 2008 and used several years before abandoning. It still works and never repaired. While i have got another newer homage inverter (matrix series) that went bad in just 2+ years use.

Last year i went to homage service center to repair the inverter and after looking at crowd of people i decided to buy new inverter (cyberpower) instead of wasting time and money on defective homage inverter.

Rebranding is a real thing in China. And even pakistani assemblers order same thing from china and put their own logos on the products.

its called OEM service, many chinese companies offer this service on alibaba for virtually every product i.e. ACs, inverters, LED TVs, light bulbs etc.

Can you recommend a good installer in lahore who pressure tests the system, vacuums properly and then release gas from the outdoor unit?

Btw, I have a LG certified guy coming over for installing. I'll ask him if pressure tests and vacuums the systems. Anything else I should ask?

Your one is T3, rated upto 55C. This is non inverter though, but still its power consumption is very close to inveters.

Panasonic basically labels T3 as super tropical or tropical.

CU is outdoor unit, CS is indoor unit.

I have General non inverter T3 splits, upto 52C with piston compressor. During peak summers and 24/7 usage, they still run more efficient than T1 inverters, even if kept at 22-24C. ~1 unit per hour consumption at 22-24C on 24/7 usage during peak summers. It's runs for ~3 minutes and then trips for ~3-4 minutes while maintaining room temperature, so average per hour consumption is ~5A at such high thermostat 22-24C setting.

Hard to believe, but electrical engineer checked thoroughly our meter and ac consumption both with his advanced tools and verified above facts.

R410a is used for environmental reasons. I don't think it has anything to do with power consumption.

I 100% agree that all these are just rebranded chinese ACs. A little surprised that they all use the same suppliers but it's possible.
