Oh i didn't knew that its 2 ton. Prices quoted on LG facebook for 1.5T are also high 118k i guess

But most inverters are T1 so will it perform good? Or should i only consider T3 inverters?

Also please comment on panasonic CS-18TKF and LG 187SK3

Samsung has two inverter models models. One is for 96k with free installation and delivery from Samsung showroom in Cavalry ground. Other shops quote 100-105 k but if you tell them the showroom price they immediately match that price.

They quote 85k for the other model but can be had for 80k. Showroom price is 82K with just free delivery.

brother. if your ac outdoor will be in shade get t1 orient for low budget and gree for high budget.

If your outdoor will be on roof with max sun get kenwood t3 kes1820. 80,000

LG inverter 1.5ton latest t3 model is 95,000 so just get 2 ton if its LG.

One doesn't need T3 compressors unless he is living in sibi or similar hot area. In lahore it barely touches 48 for few days in the whole year.

a temperature as high as 48 degree in lahore will make a 2 ton t1 ac cool like a 1.5 ton. Gree user manual i have says ac is rated to work upto 43 degree and lahore does get hotter than 43. when temp goes above 43 it becomes a problem depending where outdoor is placed.

t3 for high temperature full efficiency. t1 for low budget and shaded outdoor. - for lahore only.

2ton LG will be heavy on bills than 1.5T

Yes currently outdoor will be in shade and room is on ground floor but i am living on rent so you never know. ACs are not bought every day so i want to go for something that is easy on bills but future safe too

then i will advise you to get orient 1.5ton for around 66,000 with gold fins. check the website and buy one with at least 3.5 EER. get lines vacuumed before installation.

Thanks for taking time out and replying in detail. As mentioned earlier, i am living on rent so shaded outdoor plus ground floor may not always be the case in future. What if i move to some other house then i will have to buy a new T3 AC as orient t1 will have tough time correct?

I have gree 1.5 ton installed in 2 marla hall at the top floor that get son from two walls and roof all day. It is used during the day when it's hot. Outer is on the roof exposed to the sun from all directions. It didn't let the room temperature go above 28C even in june/july last year.

i dont own orient but i have seen them at restaurants and friends houses working like a champion.

Hot n Spicy H block DHA has an old orient floor standing AC and man it does make that big restaurant a chilling freezer. Orient makes good acs for pakistani market they also assemble mitsubishi acs so have good technology.

If i was you, i will get orient for 66,000 gold fin. Everyone has different experience. someone who has bad experience with X Y Z will always speak against X Y Z. I dont like Gree because of my experience. but i know they make good ACs. you have to be careful where you buy from.

SEER AND EER is biggest marketing gimmick in AC system. Whoever considering it is a total noob in AC systems.

You will mostly find top Tier 1 brands showing less SEER and EER than Tier 2 brand. If SEER/EER is considered as a benchmark to assess efficiency, then cheapest brand is best and most expensive brand is worst. Impossible.

SEER/EER is just a theoretical thing with nothing practical.

I will disagree with you.

Anything over 3 EER is good for a foreign brand of the likes of LG Mitsubishi Sharp Daikin Acson samsung.

When coming to pakistani/chinese companies they are all in competition with EER value. While EER value of gree haier kenwood may not be true, it is still better to buy highest EER value because if haier says 3.5 it must be atleast 3 on international level of truth. If haier says 3 then it must be 2.5.

So even if they are fooling people it is safer to go with 3.5 or above in local brands as that may closely mimick the international standards.

All acs with eer of 3.5 whether pakistani or foreign do stabilize in amps to 2-3 amps. Amps is what calculates consumption and i have seen gree haier kenwood all achieve lower amps with whatever eer they state.

Higher eer will also show you that particular ac is latest when you compare eer of same local brands.

Pakistani company may apko hitachi quality ka truth aur ac nai milna.

Everyone here is talking about T1 & T3 compressors. Theoretically it might be correct that T3 does better cooling than T1 but i believe there is hardly any difference. I live in Hyderabad and temperature here is mostly in high 40s these days in daytime. I have 1 ton inverter AC with T1 compressor and the room is on first floor. Before this 1 ton inverter, i had 1.5 ton T3 non inverter AC. Cooling of both ACs isn't much different. Yes 1.5 ton did cool the room quickly but even this 1 ton inverter T1 is good. And i never set the temperature below 27 degrees.
