It's normal smell. It will vanish after usage.

Cooling coil is a bit dirty and has bacteria causing odour, it will clean automatically after few days of usage, since it's new.

I noticed the smell comes only at startup and is not coming constantly. What could it be? Leakage or its a new unit so giving smell?

Yes other than smell, so far its good. I will post pics and screenshot of wifi app later tomorrow or on monday as i am using phone browser.

The temp displayed on AC is the one is that AC has to achieve i.e set temp so what do you mean by ambient.

Its night and weather is not too hot in lahore tonight but its good that it adjusts its amps according to need slowly.

Secondly what i liked is that the AC came with all accessories even a small pack of plastic of paris to fill the hole in wall, insulation tape etc

Yes, by being kept in storage for long time.

You know packing is mostly a bit torn and warehouses condition is something which you never want to see.

You bought a good machine. Open the grill and see if theres any packing on the blowers or anywhere else inside the indoor. If sound is okay and not too harsh then blower has no packing. Some new units have packing on blower that must be removed.

Its a new machine (i hope so) , let it run for 2 days then see if smell is gone or not. If not gone then call orient care.

Dont forget to post pictures and amp usage pics i want to buy this model too for a third room.

T3 compressors have a huge downside i.e. their max Power consumption is much higher than T1 compressors so if anyone is planning on running it on Solar, keep that in mind.

My t1 gree 2 ton goes upto 15 amps at start and my lg goes to max 10.5 with full sun and 40+ temp.

Yes gold fin. Bought from orient center. It is near chaman icecream on shoukat ali road. Coming from Allah ho chakar, take left and after a km you can see it on right. You can search orient center on googlemap too

I set it at 28 deg in morning and the amps come down to 1.5

What should be the outlet air temperature of indoor? I checked with a digital thermometer while ac was set to 16deg and thermometer showed 17deg air temperature. Shouldn't it be lower like less than 10? Especially considering that weather is barely 30 deg outside today

Got it on Wednesday, installed yesterday.

Price: 77,000

So far I am impressed with the build quality and performance. Both the inner and outer units are bigger than my Gree CITH. It comes with the installation kit unlike LG. Installation kit comes with some extra things I didn't get with Gree like some sort of clay to fill the holes after installation, sticky foam sheets to put at the back of the indoor unit, plastic grips to secure the installation pipes and the drain pipe, two 7 ft drain pipes with foam insulation. see pics below

Turned it on and tested around 3 pm yesterday. It never crossed 6.5 amps while temp was set at 16 C in turbo mode. Room is on top floor getting sun from one wall and roof all day. Room size is 17x14 ft. At night turned it on around 11pm and set it to 26C. It went to 4.5 amps, cooled the room down in 10 mins and amps came down to 2.1, then to 0, then went back up to 3.5 for a minute or two then back to 2. I set it to 28 C before going to sleep with fan on, it got pretty cold around 4 am and I turned it off. During the night I noticed it at 2 amps once but mostly at 0, probably because the weather outside was good. But even during the day when it was hot, it cooled the room down in about 15 mins and then hovered at 2-3 amps.
